Persona 1.
They moved the setting from Japan to America, changed everybody's names, made Mark black (and everybody else white, I guess), removed all references to Japan and so on, for absolutely no reason.
Which wouldn't have been so bad if not for the fact that the original game had a hidden, alternative story route that completely replaces the main quest if started, which was rendered inaccessible.

Yeah, it did. The only thing that keeps the PSP port from being a 10/10 is the option for the original game's music. Nothing wrong with Shoji Meguro bringing it more in line with P3/P4, but the option would have been nice.
