Never finished it. First time I played it, I got halfway through before the game bugged out. Second time I played it with patches, it was still a buggy mess and eventually I lost interest.
I just didn't like it as much as kotor1 bugs aside

After beating it a long time ago and felt disapointed with it, KOTOR 2 with the Restored Content Mod made it way more playable. Still kind of confused at Malachor V as a whole though.

Obsidian released it like that, because they had no choice. LucasArts fucked them. When obsidian tried to fix the shit show that is KOTOR II, LucasArts said they didn't want to spend any more money than they already had. So it was denied.

10/10 with the restoration mod. Bioware has done a ton to earn my hate, but shitting on the entire game for the sake of tortanic will always be at the top of my list.

And it is not just bioware.
EA has all the rights to star wars video games for the next 20 years so it would have to be published by EA
So even if you somehow got like the last shred of talent left at bioware to work on it it would probably still be fucked over by EA.
Any recommended mods for both KOTORs?

Buggy piece of shit. Couldn't finish it because some quest wouldn't trigger. Didn't want to replay because the start of the game is tedious.
Also Kreia is a terrible character. Nothing she says makes sense if you actually stop to think about it. The writers just used sophistry to trick nerds into thinking it was good.
