Xbox One. The shoulder and trigger buttons are more responsive and the D-pad isn't a closterfuck. Plus you don't have that huge battery pack on the back.
I've used the DS3/4 and the 360/ONE controllers and I can say my personal favorite is the 360. The ONE's build quality feels better than the 360 pad but the trigger is wider near the shoulder buttons which lead to a lot of accidental trigger inputs when I actually wanted shoulder inputs.
If you prefer the Sony layout opt for a DS4. Build quality feels top notch there.

The 360 controller will go down in history as one of the greatest game controllers. The Xbox One is only liked right now because it's the latest thing. It's clearly a regression from the 360 controller, as the shoulder buttons / bumpers are shittier, and they fucked up the overall frame of the controller so it's not as comfortable to hold anymore.

The only games I play with a controller are racing games and for that the xbone is way better.
I have a DS4 as well, but it is horrendously bad on bluetooth so I bought an xbone controller which works from miles away.
Everything else is keyboard and mouse.
