Eh, my rule for games is having the credits roll. If the credits roll, is beaten. So, in the case of fighting games in general, for me is just beating the Arcade mode.
However, I ussualy keep playing them for a long time after they are "beaten". Im trying to get down some nice Archer BnBs now. Some long ass combo into UBW would be nice, but I'll admit Im having trouble with the Dual Shock controller. I can't do shoryuken motions consistently and supers inputs are ussually a pain. How people actually played fighting games with this controller is beyond me.

Oh I see. I played the psp version and most of the street fighter inputs were placed with back-forward, forward-forward, and back-back except for supers which were almost all double hadokens. Long Archer combos usually consist of launcher, switch to bow, bow launcer, switch to swords, repeat. Long UBW combos are pretty easy since the whole state is just a combo extender so lights into mediums into heavy into launcher into sword rain and repeat from launcher.

Im fairly new to the combat system, so, how long can you do those kind of loops until hit-stun deterioration fucks you over? Does it scale too hard or the damage makes the extra effort worth it?

Generally those loops are ended at around give or take 30 hits and then gone into super. You could do them for longer but the damage beyond that isn't really worth it after scaling since supers always do the same amount of damage iirc.

P3 route. Only a few hours in.
I'm renting the game, and all the save files on the card were all doing the P3 route, with various degrees of progress. It's nice that you can save data to the SD card, both because I'm only renting the game and because you can have a shitload of saves if you wanted. I wish all 3DS games let you do that.
