Not really for games as you can get them anywhere although it is a lot safer getting them from bcg/ggn as they have quality control. If you download any sorta exe from a public tracker you're a moron though really.
As for music and all other forms of media you NEED to be on private trackers if you're actually into them.
KG specialises in arthouse movies and a good 70% of the movies on that tracker cannot be found anywhere else.
PTP , AHD , BTN all have amazing internal encodes for movies and tv shows so you're getting the best possible quality.

You can continue your save after you get your rating/dick trophy, but it seems like it's just for fun. No more rewards.
After 21 days you get your dick trophy, then coins based on it. (Depends on how many fans you have at the end of 21 days.) I had 23k fans, got silver trophy for reaching 20k. Got 19 coins or something to use.
Coins are used to buy hair and clothing apparently, which carry into your new game. Get a new trophy, repeat.
But yes, you can keep playing.

1. Get more girls. That's the most efficient way to increase your income.
2. Get first accessory slot.
3. Photo shots are 100% useless. Never Ever do them.
4. BUY THE PROMOS. They are 10x more effective than photo shots and your main source of fans.
5. Get a dedicated errand girl with shopping basket for gettign smokes and drinks and equipment. Keep her on coke and weed 24/7 when you get 3 item slots.
6. Early game strategy is getting a girl to 3/2 skill levels and giving her the subscribe pillow. At the very start you might even use 2/2.
7. After that you want to give the girls the fetish accessory items. Pick 3 types and use them on all camgirls. Specialization is good because if you buy a promo for that fetish you give income boost to ALL girls.
8. Upgrade girls to 4/2 once you see that payroll is like 20 % of your daily income. Get a second errand girl on 8th slot.
9. Once a girl has 3 fetish items (frop the pillow) you can upgrade her to 5/2.
10. BUY THE PROMOS THAT SUPPORT YOUR GIRLS EVERYDAY!
That should create a nice feedback loop. The more money you make the more fans you get from promos. The more fans you have the more money you make.

Advanced tips.
1. Don't get any collection rate upgrades beyond first for everything except money.
2. Get money collection rate upgrades often, you it doesn't take you more than 10s to collect the money from the cam studio.
3. Get the time speeding upgrade! Hold the mouse on the cam studio non stop to speed up the process. At max rank efficiency upgrade you can increase the time by like 10x.
Get other upgrades as you can afford them.
The cam income one is a priority and the time saving one too. Get the building capacity so you can fit all but 1 of your camgirls there. The last one can be in the spa or training skills.
