On lower speed classes airbrakes will make you overturn with most craft, causing you to slam into the inside.
On rapier/phantom, they need to be used for most turns, but not all. It also again depends on the craft handling.
Try applying your airbrakes BEFORE the start of the turn, not during the apex. A lot of WipEout HD players go into the PS1 games and get fucked over because they are not used to the strong, swingy airbrakes.

Well nigga I can't help you with that one. The PSP games and onwards use a different physics system than the PS1 games. Airbrakes are much different.
If you are having trouble with 2048 (which isn't all that great btw) and liked the PSP games, I suggest playing WipEout HD so you can get a handle on things. It is essentially the two PSP games put together, with a better handling system.

You know all the pouches and shit that hang on enemies and after they die you can knock them off by shooting or stabbing the corpse? All of those block or reduce damage from bullets when they're alive. If you spray at the chest, you're pretty likely to end up hitting a bunch of pouches instead of getting real hits.

The camera is you, a person. You switch control between you and the robot, with the camera either being a third person view of you when playing as the human or first person from your (the human) perspective locked on the robot when you're playing as the robot. It's weird.
