Played all of the FO and ES games up to date. Probably won't be anymore when the games Bethesda are putting out are getting so buggy and half assed with each one.
Will Bethesda ever release a working game and not expect their fans to fix it for them? Share your thoughts

With the way things are going, I doubt that will ever happen, most of the communities seems rather content with leaving a few hardcore fans fix the game for them. But then again, this is just me speculating, can't speak for others, let alone the majority

Probably the only reason for me to continue playing any thing Bethesda publishes. The skies the limit with modding. That said, and I don't want to sidetrack the discussion, but they did talk about revisiting paid mods, which considering the fiasco last summer, i'm not too comfortable with

Bethesda doesn't care about one person not buying their game. There are millions of other people that will buy their games.
Honestly tho their games are getting less buggier with each release, they also recently hired various engine programmers, graphics programmers, gameplay programmer and a Havoc Physics programmer. So something is going to happen with TESVI. I am hoping for a new engine, but we'll see.

I doubt they'd approach it like the way they did with Valve last time. They are at least smart enough to understand that they can't just step on the community, and will mostly likely ease the practice slowly into their games with much caution, much like what Valve is currently doing with Dota 2.
My issue is the fact that they don't seem to want to publish a fleshed out not buggy as fuck game.

Pretty much the case with FO4. Its rather sad because on one hand the mods add so much, on the other hand it gives Bethesda little reason to want to make a complete game when they have a shit ton of fans that will do it for them for free

I won't disagree there, FO4 was not a fucked up as NV, but while they advertise their new engine and it's capabilities, I can't help feel wary of how far they will push it, or rather, choose not to
Post-oblivion Bethesda's target audience is the "real nerd" crowd (I.e Reddit) that doesn't care about lore and challenge so long as there's muh quirky nerdy xD dragons and muh quirky 50s visuals xD Bethesda will never be good again just accept this even if all of 4chan doesn't support them anymore Reddit and tumblr will

As much as I wish that weren't the case, it certainly seems to be. I'm okay with giving up on Bethesda, as it seems they've dropped their old standards for new ones that cater to an audience with easier expectations. It just sucks that we won't get to play sequels that live up their earlier iterations.
