They seem to be focusing on world content a lot more, which is nice.
Balance druid seems to be better than the current bland abomination, shade of it's former self.
Some specs look really fun, others seem to have been streamlined into death.
Overall, I'm moderately hyped. Hope the raids are as good as BRF, also hope we get more than 1 content patch and 2 tiers.(one of which was bad)

Holy Paladin is what I've been playing for a few years now but the Mastery Change is making me consider new options. I don't like that I'm going to have to be moving all over the place to maximize heals when I have 1 instant cast heal (2 if you spec into Holy Prism).

People still play retail WoW? Last I checked the North American servers were mostly dead, EU servers are the only ones with some life and even then it's only 1-2 servers that are mostly alive with the rest being dead, and most of the subscribers Blizzard brags about are inflated by RMT chinks and people in China who pay by the hour instead of a subscription.

I came back to my enhacement shaman I hadn't played since Burning Crusade. I had 1/4th of the buttons I remember. My rotation, if you could even call it that, was Stormstrike, which is no longer the incredible Windfury proccing machine that people legit feared, now it's just a boring ass filler spell and Windfury isn't even an visible enchantment anymore. Earthshock is RIP not even a silence anymore. I literally just hit Flameshock, lava lash, stormstrike, and then lightning bolt when that shit shows up on my screen. It was the most boring shit ever, and felt nothing like enhancement more like a rogue without combo points or some shit. Was ridiculous, and the worst part was that everything I hit died in 2 hits, and found out that if I had heirlooms everything dies in 1 hit.
So blizzard made the game as challenge-less as possible while leveling because their new millenial playerbase couldn't handle not one shotting everything they attacked. I uninstalled that day and haven't looked back. Will never touch it again.

As a player in an active PvE progress guild, probably a dps only class (hunter/warlock/mage/rogue).
Played Feral through WoD but things are looking pretty shitty once again and knowing Blizzard, making a decent dps spec for a hybrid class will be an almost impossible feat.

I played Nost. Problem was that I lived Vanilla. Half of the specs weren't viable for end-game, lots of stupid gating. The game was better in many ways but I could never go back and enjoy it knowing there will never be new content.
Also my favorite spec is rip on Nost due to a windfury bug that's been around for 9 months with WF not applying AP so it hits like feather tickles.

that was for raids. Raids were only a small part of vanilla back in the day.
You could tweak your specs all sorts of different ways for non raid content. Paladins/druids could tank. Paladins were actually the best non raid tanks when geared.
hybrids were not gods who could do anything they wanted at any time, they actually had sacrifices, they were weak in some areas but stood out in others. surprise surprise in a raid setting with 40 people working together hybrids were brought for their utility/healing. Thats the way it should be.

It gives you like +25% bonus healing on people within 10 yards, decreasing if they're further away. It limits you to only healing the people standing right next to you or you lose the bonus healing from your mastery. Even if you stand in melee you still only get to heal like half the raid. It's fucking bullshit. Blizz expects you to run over to the person you want to heal before you heal them, seeing as how they added that spammable insta-cast heal. Yeah but, I had started playing wow couple months before tbc released, then made a blood elf palading when tbc released and, raided with it up until Kael'thas and cleared SSC cavern with it.
I then took a break and resumed playing around late august 2007, and leveled a rogue. I had no experience in raiding as one, and very limited experience in the encounters from a healer perspective.
So i had to slog through retard guilds to get gear and experience, I had to be realistic and accept the fact that no guild that was already doing MH/BT was going to take me in.

I think I'll bring my monk tank out more though, I was really happy with brewmaster in WoD, seemed like the most fun, so I want to play more.

It was the guild that gave the DST to the prot paladin that I was in, when I was doing that fight but unfortunately, before we killed it they removed BT/MH attunements.
The guild leadership then had the brilliant idea to go and tackle the first few easy fights of MH/BT to "gear up" to kill kael thas, that already almost made me quit due to the retardation of such statement.
They then gave the DST to the prot pala which was what sealed the deal.
At that point I really wanted to kill KT but that wasn't possible as the good guilds had killed him already and moved on.
The shitty guilds now that the attunements were removed were moving on too so I quitted Pve for a while and did arena to get to 1800 and get those insane s3 swords, then I joined a MH/BT guild since there was no way to find a guild who bothered with TK anymore. Still bugs me to this day.
