I built a $2000 gaming PC and I bought a PS4, so I have the option of choosing between the different versions of the DS3. I really want the PS4 version to be decent, because I have three games for it, and two of them are updated re-releases (GTAV and TLOU) and the other one is Bloodborne. My PS4 has been collecting dust recently, and the only game in the foreseeable future that I want to get for it is FF7 remake.

ps4 uses a generic battery pack so you can swap it out for a super cheap higher capacity one by only undoing a few screws.
You can dim the leds so they use much less battery, and on pc you can turn the light off altogether.
Plus a far better D-pad, bluetooth not some proprietary shit with a xboxhueg dongle, gyro controls, touchpad to control the mouse (great when playing from the sofa), etc

Pretty much. I actually started with DS2 on PC instead of ps3, first invader i had had unlimited health. He stood there while i hit him for like 15 seconds, and then one shotted me. One of many.
Picked it up for ps3 because a friend said he had no issues, and scholar later on ps4, never had another experience like that.

I wish I could say the same. Frame rate dips around the large burning pit at the start of the game, a bunch in OId Yharnam, a bunch in YarHar, it dips consistently when I R1 spam the church folk to death, and various dips around the game. None in boss fights unless it wasn't solo, though. Ludwig can suffer from that a lot. Chalices had less problems for me than the base game.
I hear it's different offline for some people, but I still play offline often now and get issues. They aren't massive, but if I got the chance to play without them, I'd take it. So I'll do the same here. Probably get DaS3 on PS4 later if it's good.

I bought Dark Arisen on 360 right before Capcom announced a PC version.
I think I played around 6 hours on 360 before I stopped playing because I couldn't handle the shitty framerate.
I now have over 200 hours on PC. It's so much better at >60 fps and HD textures.

The funny thing is that until the PS3 gen the PC platform was mostly forgotten. Multiplatform games were always worse on PC no matter how much more powerful your PC was then the console.
PC gamers didnt even play multiplat games on PC. In fact the PC crowd was Total War, Civicilaztion, MMORPGs and FPS oriented.
It wasnt until Crysis 1 did the PC market become this more power ect bullshit it is today.
Who cares if the PC version is the best.
What matters is the PS4 version worth getting? Is the game choppy? Does it crash a lot? Should you buy it or not if all you have is a ps4.

I say that because the swamp area hit framerate unrealistically hard, going from an average 60fps on a 980 GTX at 1080p to 12 maybe 18 in the swamps. It was terrible, and strangely enough, nothing could be done. Switching around the options resulted in a few fps here or there. But really that level's heavy use of reflections off of particles, transparencies, and draw distance killed framerate like nothing else, making that location an absolute pain to experience in all ways. Very sad.
