But OP keeps making the same thread, the same dumb answers keep being repeated, and whenever someone gives an answer other than Barbie's Dream House and Candy Crush it's not addressed. If the intent of this thread is to really learn about what girls/women really play, you'd think he'd ask follow up questions to the people who give diverging answers to find out why they said it and discuss, and then having his question answered, not make the thread again another half dozen times.

Just curious but how long have you actively lurked on 4chan, specifically /v/? Because this has been happening all the time for a dozen different threads for years.
The intent of the thread hardly matters as long as there is discussion. I'm not saying you are wrong to assume that OP just wants circlejerk over how casual women are when it comes to gaming, but I'm not saying you are right either. There are plenty of good ideas in these threads for what a guy might suggest to a girl friend or relative of their's too.

I've been on 4chan since 2007 and have always come to /v/ off an on since then but regularly in the last few years or so so yes I've seen these threads many times in all that time and mainly I never see any real discussion usually just arguing. But I'm fairly certain the last few times I've seen this thread it's been made by the same guy and I'm asking him specifically what this is about because I didn't see anything that looked like him trying to learn the answer to the question in these particular threads.

I do think op specifically is ignoring those posts though, which is what I meant to convey. This thread is going much better than the last one I looked at so I'll leave it alone. It looks like females make up about a fifth of AAA game players. They're definitely a minority but they're far from being non existent. ~20% of players is a sizable chunk.

Anyway I enjoy RPGs (generally western but jpgs are nice too, the closer to tabletop the better so maybe something like vampire the masquerade bloodlines)
In terms of violent video games I either like extreme violence or colourful and energetic shooters, generic brown and grey "realism" doesn't particularly appeal to me
I also like games with interesting stories and characters, like metal gear
