Hey /v/, I was wondering what you think the best Spyro game is out of the original three? I personally think the second is best, but I want to see other opinions on this.

It polished the gameplay of the first and offers more variety without being bloated with a million weird sub-games and playable characters like the third.

3=2>1 for me
They all stand alone though and should definitely be played. I like 3 as much as 2 because while some may not like the extra characters, I think it makes up for it with the surprisingly fun skateboarding. Spyro 1 has a different feel in terms of atmosphere, but in terms of level design and gameplay the second and third are an improvement.

1 has best atmosphere/music, and some memorable levels.
2 is short but incredibly solid (aside from some infamous escort missions), more depth than 1, and features the best hub in the series.
3 is the biggest game in the series hands down, with the most worlds, content, and it has better music than 2.

I love the aesthetics and level design of 2 and 3 but I can not get past the fucking awful minigames. Shit like the alchemist in 2 and the firefly escort completely kills any enthusiasm I have towards doing a 100% run.
The first. The sequels are good games too but I'm not fond of a lot of the minigames, the original is just pure platforming fun.
Spyro was the fucking definition of aesthetics. 2 will always be my favorite though
Played them in order for the first time last year and liked 3 the most. The worlds were excellent and I actually really fucking enjoyed the bonus characters.
