Because 99% of fighters are just one person against the other. Team-based games like mobas and some FPSes, people have their teammates to blame. Since generally, there are no teammates in a fighting games, those kind of people who really can't accept their own shortcomings in a fighter will find anything to blame but themselves. It is very frustating when you KNOW what's coming, like for example a crossup, or a command throw, but you don't have the hand, eye, brain coordination (mostly stems from lack of experience or lack of knowledge of the game mechanics) to counter it.
