Lag up the ass. You have lag entering and exiting warp drive. You have lag when turning. And worst of all, is the fucking phasing in and out of players. absolute bullshit when a player phases in front of me and we both only have nano seconds to respond to each other.
Spawn points are garbage. been playing for 2 hours and i managed to spawn right in front of the 6th leaderboard player and kill him as he was warping in. shit like that shouldn't happen.
Found the best play style was to just bumrush mid at start, get to about medium size, then just roll over yourself in a nice rhythmic fashion and pick up food from other reckless idiots. Once you get to about 30th place, work your way out to outterrims and just cautiously 1v1 someone. managed to get on the leaderboard several times in the past 2 hours by doing this.

Really, once you get around 40k, or even 30k, it's practically impossible for you to die if you're playing safe, while still being able to accumulate size. At the 32k mark, I decided to play offensive, and got this score before dying. This game feels much laggier than yesterday.

I've found once you're larger you can play pretty relaxed, just slither along and casually encircle smaller snakes. It's very easy to kill snakes your size by letting them come after you, rather than chasing them. Got bored with being 3 times the size of the server and let some small dude kill me, enjoy the feast little guy

Was 1st for a while, 2nd was around 20k. I'd usually wait for another large snake to die then encircle everyone else going for his body. Trapped 3-4 at a time that way. It was pretty fun to just fuck with the more medium sized ones too. But fuck those small ones, at this size your turn radius is so large you can easily get screwed if you're too cocky or not careful.

Before my controls felt responsive and even if I died the occasional death to a lag spike it didn't feel cheap. Now the game runs at a constant silky smooth 15fps and there's no concept of out-maneuvering someone since it comes down to luck with the latency.

I'm surprised this game doesn't make me rage at all even with all the lag. I used to get so mad playing agar.io. Getting eaten by some filthy turkroach would get me so mad, but this game is comfy as fuck. I guess it's because you can't get instantly eaten by a bigger player just because they're bigger than you and it takes some skill to eat someone. Smaller opponents are also quite dangerous if you aren't paying attention.

If you last long enough without fucking up or giving up, it raises your chances of the other snake fucking up, getting spooked by another snake or losing interest in you.
It's not impossible at all.
I've stopped counting the times when I coil around a smaller snake just to fuck with them and either they suicide instantly or they fucking ram into my body after I've clearly stopped coiling and left and they just had to hang on for another 10 seconds for my tail to follow.

By holding the arrow down as opposed to using the mouse, unless a lag spike hits the server you'll maintain a near perfect circle.
This baits the coiling snake into tightening its wrap and making itself very small
This turns it into an easy prey for snakes half his normal size to coil around

All the big snake has to do is make one real close pass, being careful to do it while the prey's head is on the opposite side so he doesn't get juked, and the prey will bump his head against the attacker, or break his "perfect circle"
