Not really. It depends on if you have any specific goals. I can't imagine there being much use for gathering/crafting besides making gil for a house. Beyond that there's tomestone farming to cap, which just means better equipment/iLevel.
Can any fishers tell me if a fish requires Fish Eyes to be caught, do I have to use it every time? Or if I catch it once then I am able to catch it without the skill?

Just hit 60 the other day, now grinding for Tomestones so I can get i200 gear and go into the Antitower. What should I do next?
Level another class? Main MNK. Have all jobs, most classes at 30, DRG at 35 and WHM 38.
Try DoH/L? I have LTW at 11 and that's literally it.
Attempt Coil? I'm decent at the game I think, getting lots of comms as MNK, but I don't know how skilled I have to be to do the infamous full party dungeons. I don't communicate with my FC so I'd be doing it via DF.
Void Ark once I hit the level for it? Crystal Tower wasn't bad, but I played it long after it was made irrelevant (as in last month).
Anything else I'm missing? I just started beast tribe stuff for the first time today, so I've got that to do. Is PVP worthwhile? I'm tempted to do Frontline for the tomestone bonus. I'm not doing relic weapon stuff, that breaks my limit for grinding.

Unfortunately tanks rely a lot on gear in early levels. A lot more than other classes rely on it.
However, this particular tank was pulling 2-3 groups at a time and then flashing twice before entering typical rotation. So if you're grabbing large groups and then telling people to throttle their AoE DPS, I have to wonder why you do it at all.

Yeah, the game doesn't really explain shit in good detail. The newbie guild shit is a step in the right direction but the problem isn't that low levels are bad, it's that high levels are playing as if they've ignored the first 50levels of the game.
Your best bet is to find a player who plays your main and asking them to show you how to play on a dummy or something. When I first hit 50 on ninja my FC leader told me my rotation was absolute trash in T9 and took me to our FC house to drill it into me.

I don't know about that. There are plenty of fights where even the best of healers don't have any downtime. Sure there are slower phases where a WHM might have time to throw out some damage, or a SCH might toss out some DoTs, but most healers focus on healing during major bosses.
If you can weave damage effortlessly between your healing in nearly every situation then bravo, you're a very good healer.

There is no cap on any skill, however you can stack shit to ridiculous levels. For instance Monks can stack crit buffs to make them have a %70-80 critrate.
They did some patch fuckery in how things are calculated with HW to keep shit from getting too fast. There was also talk when HW hit to decrease overall GCD to 1.5s~ by the time HW is ended but don't get your hopes up.

Holy stuns groups of enemies which helps mitigate incoming damage while also damaging the enemy in turn. Fire 3 instantly puts you at Astral 3, allowing you to maximize damage without having to build it up.
This doesn't even account for the really broken shit. The WHM's Benediction is a straight up 100% heal on any specific target. Shit like BLM's Firestarter and Thundercloud, with Thunder 3, would completely trivialize these dungeons. The WAR having access to Inner Beast or Steel Cyclone would demolish enemies. And this is all considering that the potency of these moves are scaled down because even with the reduced damage there's still the fact that WAR's are given a zero TP move to either heal themselves or attack all enmies, BLM's Firestarter and Thundercloud cost no MP and cast instantly, WHM's Benediction is a lifesaver, not to mention Regen and Medica 2 acting as double regen, ect.
More importantly though, the daily duties are designed to help out newbies and help keep low level content active. New players need to learn how to properly advance through the game and too easy an experience early on would fuck up their learning progression. There are already too many idiots making it through the low barrier for entry into endgame and I'd rather that the beginning of the game doesn't get any easier.

I disagree. I feel like his goal was colonization and land grabs more than anything else. Dalamud was a bad plan to him because it could potentially render the land unusable. Same goes for minimal bloodshed as captured citizenry are less useful when they're dead.
To me, what really leads me to think this way is his reaction to obtaining the Ultima Weapon. Now that he essentially has a controllable super tank, he has no qualms about pushing his weight around since he can limit how destructive he actually gets, unlike Dalamud which was an uncontrollable crapshoot. That's a really piss poor excuse. The DRK's Flash equivalent (I forget what it's called) is more than enough to hold hate until you can do a full enmity combo on at least three individual enemies.
