They compare the 3DS and Vita versions. Vita looks so much nicer, but I'm wondering what the black bottom screen is all about, or if it means anything.
3DS. I might get it for PC eventually but I already pre-ordered and I'm sure as hell not waiting and missing out on that sweet watch.

If 999 was going to be a completed game, and wasn't made part of a trilogy until later, what the fuck was up with All-Ice? Every single other thing mentioned in 999 was plot-critical, even if it didn't seem like it was at the time. Except for All-Ice and those chemicals in factories suddenly altering. But let's say she just showed up at the end as a sort of "it's up to you" open ending. Bringing it up in VLR again is all well and good for VLR too - they might have just brought it up again to trick the player into thinking Alice was All-Ice for fun as one of the many revelations in the game.
Except they explained everything all over again as if the player had no knowledge of what All-Ice was, which contradicts the idea that the player was meant to think Alice was All-Ice. That makes me think that All-Ice is plot-relevant and that it might have been explained again so thatSigma had the knowledge for something at the Mars Test Site or for the creation of the Nonary Game later on.Dunno. It just sticks out like a sore thumb.

I did use the fast forward but I tried as many patterns of texting as I could from the messages Mad Scientisto received, trying to avoid guides as possible and just using the built in achievements/trophies list as a guide. Can you imagine how long it would be to not skip?
I guess it is my playstyle.
When I played VLR I would save and reload every single time line and select every single choice for every time line. Even the duplicates, as long as it was in another time line. So that when I hit skip it wouldn't stop to a halt somewhere. Its just wishful thinking in that I could change the course of events/ dialog later on.

As I see it, ZTD`s bad endings (when everyone is murdered, except 3 people in ZTD`s timeline) will lead to VLR`s events, so one can assume that ZTD`s participants died from shotgun or revolver or whatever and weren`t able to contain R-6, so Tenmyuouji mentioned it.

What did you initially think the story would be about when you started VLR? Having finished 999 before, I was ready for some morphogenetic field adventures, but I didn`t think that the story would take that kind of scale.

Anon even the game pokes fun at itself.
The game just lightly touches upon recent physics theories and creates its own version of time travel theory centered on the main character, kind of like Zero Escape.
But its more of a crash course on events rather than intertwined events as seen in Uchikoshi's games. (For example G-OLM plays a plot role and rules of robotics takes effect!)
Lets compare with Zero Escape's (999 and VLR) Morphogenetic field theory.

I just finished 999 again after VLR and honestly VLR is better at everything except endings for the most part (safe ending, true ending) and the puzzles were short and piss easy in 999 while in VLR I had to use a guide for some of them and for the gold case file, also I connected more with the characters due to being voiced, and one thing, and having to replay the puzzles was a hassle good thing I was playing on a emulator with fast foward.
and 999 had more of a payoff (took down bad guy, escaped etc.) VLR's ending was basically a set up for ZTD which we wouldnt even know it would exist until last year that uchikoshi took back the no ZE3 comment. Also VLR had more plotholes than 999 had and fuck them for adding Alice as a character, might as well invented another character instead of being HURR DURR NIGGER KILL MYSELF on all endings, also Quark was useless, literally everyone was borderline useless except Dio, Phi, Luna and K
and what the fuck is up with temmiouyi? I like to think that Temmioyi is not Junpei due to the nose, height etc.

To be fair I don't think it will look that good on PC, but who knows? Everything depends of the primary platform it was aimed since the beginning, because for now it seems like the 3DS version is just a downgrade version of the Vita, instead of the Vita being an upscaled version of the 3DS.

999 was graphic but the Japs didn't like that.
VLR had higher budget and made the transition to 3D + VA, but in an attempt to appeal to the broader audience things got a more cartoony artstyle and people stopped explodingbut the entire Earth became a ravaged wasteland so I guess Uchikoshi got the last laugh.
So now ZTD is going all out, keeping the technical advances made for VLR but keeping the darker tone of 999 (and apparently taking it a number of steps further to the point of Uchikoshi joking about a Z-rating).
I don't think it's for budget reasons, even if it's clear they still don't have a huge budget.
Side Note: In verifying that the rating was in fact "Z" I also found out that Dio was originally supposed to rape Clover when he cuffed her up, and that originally the REDs in 999 did in fact require your fingerprints to touch the scanner for it to work. Both were changed for ratings reasons (don't think about that second one too hard).

It certainly is one of the top VNs but there are some flaws.
The VN will take most people around 50-60 hours to beat.
It is one of the most epic stories in a VN and does a good job of connecting all the dots without leaving huge plot holes.
I just really wish it wasn't an eroge game because some of the eye candy doesn't fit in certain scenarios. Also the sex scenes were cheesy as fuck with a bunch of puns thrown in but I really haven't seen a VN do sex dialogue in a non cheesy manner.
The sex scenes only make up 1 or 2 percent of the game so it's easy to ignore that.

I'll explain it again to you since you seem a little slow.
It is a pretty common thing for a disease's symptoms to get worse based on certain factors, (exhaustion,stress,time,whatever) therefore it stands to reason that the brain slowing effect of radical-6 could get temporary worse than what they usually are on certain occasions.
Same idea as to why Quark and Alice develop the suicidal symptoms faster than everyone else, because diseases don't works at the exact same speed on everyone.
The game doesn't need to explain how diseases work, that's common knowledge.
Just because the game doesn't spoonfeed you the obvious doesn't mean that there's a plot hole.
