My pawn gets really good rating when it comes to practicality and usefulness. He looks like a short, bald man so all the appearance ratings are like 2.5s. I'm sure if he was a hot babe instead the japs would love him.

the problem is just the level.
you can beat BBI Hard mode at around 100 fairly easy so most people aren't going to grind to Infinity.
on normal mode the XP payout so painfully lower it's depressing to even think about how much grinding you would need just to reach level 100, and at like level 60 the everfall is already a joke.That was basically the postgame before Dark Arisen so this is the one point where I have to question Itsuno about what he was thinking making the max level 200. I supposed the believable explanation was he originally planned the game to actually reach that long considering how short Capcom made him cut the game compared to his vision.

If you don't mind dressing in leather armour, Assassin lets you keep the shield, gives you a shitload of other skills and twice the attack gains.

Yeah I know it's the level that caused the slowdown, still painful to deal with. I loved the idea that other people out there were using my creation and enjoyed adventuring with them, great feelings there.
I did flip through some of the artbook stuff and it's amazing just how much they had planned for the game. Despite being fun DD is really really fucking small, if they had gone through with their full vision it would have been legendary.
