2.Conceptualize a game around that story
3. Then do art work (you should only be talking to people doing art work for you)
4. Now that each character is officialized as well as the environment, talk to your modelers and give them all of the 2D art to work with.
5. Now you have a story, art, models, and environmental assets. Start putting that shit together and coding it
Anyone with half a fucking brain knows that big projects like these need to be tackled in sections in order to get anything done. This asshole is mad because he does a bit of one thing, reads a bug about another, changes a character feature because of x, etc.

I don't think there's nothing wrong in wanting to have the feeling of being appreciated for the work you've done. But the fact that he makes this sound like he's doing everyone a favor by doing it.
In the video he proves that he's only doing it for the potential admiration. As he stated himself he always wanted to create something big and amasses a following. Which I think isn't a good reason to create alone.
