I would say Carl Johnson is the best character of the complete serie and San andreas has the best vibe. I mean, big smokes is VERY cool i like his style, the story's pretty good, helpin' your family against the other bad gang, grove street is pretty honorable and have guts to refuse drugs in its rank (that's why the ballas failed [and big smokes] failed against grove street, because of the drugs). GTA V is indeed the best world and missions (if only it had San fierro and las venturas like SA!) and the missions are.. well, better than the other gta, i don't know what else can you do if it's not going A to B shoot this guy or anything else in a mission of GTA, but the multi character makes it pretty fun (switching character when XX happens to kill him before he shoot XX)

Yeah i just read about this from some /k/fag recently. Everyone keeps bitching about Niko being so cynical and depressing but if you look at the inner details of the Bosnia war that shit was fucked up. Niko was a kebab remover mother fucker who likely partook in ethic cleansing / tactical molestation to combat muslims. The shit Niko went through was on pair with a zombie-Apocalypse SHTF scenario where people raided each other for food and supplies.

Rockstar's open world games are the only games I play more than just the story. I'll put a few hundred hours into each which is a lot for me. The fact that IV was so depressing was a bummer for me for that reason. I liked the game and all the new things it introduced, but the years I spent playing that game were colored by its depressing nature, which led to me enjoying it less. I wouldn't have minded if I just played the missions and goofed around a bit like I do with other games; it was a unique atmosphere. I was relieved that V went back to some more lighthearted interactions, as well as more colorful and diverse environments. I hated that IV got rid of non-urban environments, as that was part of what made SA so endlessly enjoyable. If they go back to Vice City, they better include the everglades and the keys.
