I'm both disappointed and relieved that there are only a few inter-path marriage options in Revelation.
On one hand, there are several would-be pairings that would either make a humorous amount of sense (i.e. Peri as Rhajat's mother), or be great eugenics-wise. I'm also sad that Camilla and Hayato can't /ss/.

I think the real problem is that IS thinks fans want a more intricate story with epic plot twists and the like, but the real problem lies in how little focus there is on anything. Path of Radiance was great despite being relatively straight forward and simple because it was really the cast and setting that carried it. Fates ultimately fails because we never see any evidence of what the world's like or how the side characters tie into anything besides being someone's retainer, if it's even that much. Instead we get "plot twist, so-and-so dies!" but with no buildup or context to make us care.

My biggest issue personally is the kids; for all of Kana's adorableness and Soleil's bisexuality they really felt tacked on because Awakening did it.
I'd rather have a smaller cast with more support dialogue than a bigger cast with only 3/4 max.
As for the plot...well that just requires better writers. And by better it doesn't have to mean deep or intricate. I was getting real tired of a plot making me the invading offender and having a main character CONSTANTLY regretting that from the start.

From what I understand, NO ONE likes how the kids are put into the story. It's universally agreed to be bad. To the point where I've seen a good amount of people say that they either want a more Genealogy justification for the kids or take them out all together. And that was on both sides.
