Last time. Melty threadGGs, end it all. Sorry for the crappy connection at the end.
You're a brave man making a vidya thread in the anthpocalypse.

This is probably the worst I've seen /v/ in fucking ages.I wish I could play with you Eurobros without my internet shitting itself.
GGs miyako arima player
Everytime I play you theres always something I just cant block
first time it's the throws, now its the low after I tech roll your air throw I cant win
174.0.254.138:46138
Kill me, baby.
If you're around, ggs f-miyako guy. I was the one who played ryougi, kohaku, and roa.
Also, if those matches with C-Roa tell you anything, it's that a mediocre C-Roa can beat a good F-Miyako.
>>332905842
>tech roll your air throw I cant win
There's your problem, F-Miyako can't do anything about neutral techs but can catch forward/backward techs. When I play against F-Miyakos, I can usually neutral tech and just jump out..
>>332906027
do you live in saudi arabia
>>332906232
wait i know you tech roll air throw with forward/back but how do you standtech? still learning the controls/mechanics
>>332906724
Press up when you hit the ground.
>>332906337Canada. But weirdly enough, most of my matches don't end up being that fucked. I played a guy in Finland last week just fine.
>>332906829
>canada
oh ok makes sense
>>332906762
ok i figured that was the answer when I asked. thank you sensei
>>332906965
I am so sorry, anon.
>>332906829
east or west? I'll try the ping later when I'm not exhausted
>>332907104
West.If you're Mano, hey again.
>>332907065
All of the Canadians I've played have super unstable internet. One of them starts lagging if someone spectates them.
>>332907218
oh we've played? tag?
>>332907252
It's a damn shame. You were fun to fight against, despite it being pretty one-sided most of the time.
>>332907436
Yep. It's hooplargh.
>>332905110
I-I'm still hosting.
>>332907598
I wasn't the guy you played, but we do play often.
I'm the guy who usually plays kohaku and nanaya, almost never my main though.
>>332907598
Ohhh interesting. Lap-chi is doing a canada cup in vancouver go check it out
>>332907802
Ah, if that's the case, then you kicked my ass several times. Not that I mind, of course.
>almost never my main though.
Well, when we play again next, toss him or her out for me to fight against. I'll probably get massacred, but still.
If I have CCCaster v3.0.015, do I need to update it? It works just fine for online play, but I'm curious if it will help CCCaster with its issue of not saving my controller settings.
>>332908010
Like, go to Vancouver? I'm all the way in the sticks in Alberta. And if you mean watch it,I rarely ever actually watch any tourneys. Still, might give it a look.
>>332908058
It's c-ryougi
>>332908182
latest is 3.0.018
>>332908320
oh in that case don't bother I doubt anybody would be there for MBAACC much less it being on streamha ha...
>>332908390
>Custom combo
Man, I think you did use her on me before. Either that, or I went against another C-Ryougi who did the same thing.
anyone here buy the steam version? i've got a question
>>332908584
Who knows, eh? Might make see a resurgence with the Steam re-release. With shittier netcode. And a translation team that might butcher everything.Ha ha.
>>332908757
Steam version isn't out yet
>>332908757
It comes out on the 19th of April, but ask anyways. Someone might know the answer.
>>332909001
will the steam version have actual keyboard controls? i downloaded melty and had to get some 3rd party CLI app just to bind keys
Surely these Melty threads will happen more often once the steam version drops? I only have a torrented version of Act Cadenza and I'm really bad, but I'll still join once I can through steam.
>>332909151
I think I remember reading that it will, and it also lists having full controller support as well. If you want a more definite answer, you can probably get it by asking on the game's Steam Discussion page. The people in charge of it seem pretty good about answering questions.
>>332909185
I don't intend to let these threads die regardless of the steam version. You should just join asap because if steam netcode is shit people will be more inclined to stay on CCCaster
>>332909151
Most likely, but I don't know how good arcsys does with PC releases and peripheral compatibility. Have you tried setting buttons with CCCaster? That thing detects anything, even the mayflash gamecube adapter
>>332909567
I would join, but I don't know how CCCaster works, and I don't even know what version everyone is playing or where to get it. Which is why I was kinda hoping the steam version would solve all my problems.
>>332909567
Speaking of controller adapters, is there a way to fix an error where it can't save my settings? I'm trying to use a Saturn pad running through a PS2/SS/N64 adapter and although it does work, I have to set my buttons after closing and restarting CCCaster.
>>332909638
Just get the latest update (3.0.018) from the mega link in this post and follow the instructions http://www.meltybread.com/forums/melty-blood-auditorium/cccaster-v1-0a-netplay-client-for-mbaacc-1-4-0/

Thanks anons.
I'll do my best to git at least a little gud
Do any Australians play this game?
>>332909638
In this thread is a mega, download the bottom one 3.00018 etc
http://www.meltybread.com/forums/melty-blood-auditorium/cccaster-v1-0a-netplay-client-for-mbaacc-1-4-0/
And then you need MBAACC - http://pastebin.com/UT6mWZqh
How do you guys git gud at remembering combos like these>>332905110 and being able to perform them on the spot in actual fights?
>>332909567
i dont care about setting controller settings, i want to use a keyboard and its impossible without cccaster.
>>332909789
Do you have a mappings file for your adapter in your cccaster folder?
>>332909952
im aus but probably wont play this game
>>332910014
Muscle memory. I can do my BnBs without even looking at the screen.
>>332910014
I made that webm, and it's not supposed to be a feasible combo to do in a match at all. There are other combos that deal around the same damage for way less effort. That shit has a delayed tk j.22b, which took me a billion tries to get.
>>332910014
you don't. all these combo webms are mostly just for swag and you use something more simple and practical in real games
In any case if you want to learn a combo or pressure string or whatever it just involves a lot of training mode grind and then trying to replicate it in matches
>>332910060
No, it fails to create one. It's been awhile since I used a new controller, so do I have to make one somehow?
>>332910245
Usually it would create one automatically as it did for mine but yeah now I don't know where you would proceed. I'd suggest just asking in the cccaster thread linked above or search for the maker's twitter handle
>>332910179
>>332910180
>>332910226
I see. KoF spoiled me where combos are usually just one normal, one command normal, and cancel into special.
>>332910532
Long combos are usually just for styling on people rather than big damage. Coming from KoF, you should focus on learning how air movement works in this since it's a big part of the game.
>>332910665
KoFs are all about short hop pressures. Any guide on the air game for MB? I need to learn when to use the different air maneuvers like hops and dashes.
>>332910532
A good portion of the character's bnbs are fairly easy to grasp because they are cancel heavy - timing only matters for the air portions
So despite the larger number of buttons presses it's easier in a way
>>332910804
This is a very good primer: http://whensmeltyblood.blogspot.ca/
Now im thinking it'd be really cool if someone wrote out a footsies handbook but for melty blood
I might as well keep getting used to my controller and see if I can learn Kouma.

GGsThough all these Nananya's are getting kinda boring, every second person mains him or Ryougi
>>332915864
ggi was gonna switch up to kohaku or wallachia but you left.
>>332915864
But Ryougi is the coolest and the best so that's a given
>>332915864
i want to main my waifu but you have to be a combo master to play her.
>>332915864
Why is Ryougi so popular in Europe?
I swear I'm the only c-ryougi that I've seen in America, except for one guy who doesn't play anymore.
The only other Ryougi I've played against is H moon and just plays her for super swag combos that deal no damage. There's another H-Ryougi I know of that I haven't played though.
>>332916338
She's really not that hard to play once you actually learn the main loop though.
>>332916508
because normies from UBW and Zero who have not actually read anything to do with the Tsukihime line and so the only character they know is Ryougi
who is incidentally quite edgy and thus attractive to young people

backdashing is sometimes a good idea against C-Akiha because she can go for the command throw oki once she gets you to respect the high-low mixup
but against warc you will just get raped by bloodrings
>>332920491
ggs
Don't be afraid to use rings.
j.B is your friend.
The dp is actually a pressure tool, if they are far enough when you do it, it becomes safe on block.
Learn to 63214c on C-Arc, it's amazing.
>>332920550
i just suck at guarding in general.
>>332916508
>plays her for super swag combos that deal no damage
I'm assuming you're talking about me. I just picked a character and stuck with her, because that's the only way I can play fighting games. I am absolute garbage if I pick someone else.
>>332921541
Are you Eishi?
If not, I'm not talking about you.
>>332921650
I am not. I know I just spam a 3600 damage combo over and over though.
>>332921775
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4j3_T6iykQ
He's the H-Ryougi in this combo vid and constantly goes for this kind of stuff in matches.
>>332921912
Actually, that's a bad example since he's only there for one combo and that's one of the more practical one's he does. I don't have any other footage of him except for pretty old matches when he didn't know the combos he knows now. He always does crazy midscreen 63214x loops that I've never seen anyone else do.
