Looks good, the run is fine, the slide could cover a bit more of ground, the map is exactly like what i would expect of a castlevania game, but i am curious, what utility will a kick have when you have a fucking weapon? Will it be used to guard break enemies? I cant imagine anything else.

Might be a generic unarmed attack when you don't have a weapon equipped, similar to how Alucard had a punch.
It could guard break or knockback, too.

They should hire a 2D animator to help them fix those timings and flow. I like how it looks so far, but there's plenty of room for improvement.
I'm afraid that once things settle with the characters, they're gonna go to map design and never touch animations again.
