Well, Battlefield definitely isn't a "flight sim".
For actual combat, IL-2 is probably about as good as it gets, for now. For general aviation, it's hard to beat X-Plane 10. For commercial airliners, P3D or FSX are pretty rad when you set them up right.

This was a very good mission desu, the BF3 story was shit but the missions set pieces were pretty good
Elite Dangerous politic and faction stuff is boring but just flying around is really awesome
