Luminous, but they're also integrating third party stuff like Umbra into it. The demo actually runs pretty nicely all things considered, and the visuals can look really great sometimes. Really it's quite remarkable that it runs on PS4 as well as it does; there's obviously been compromises but overall it's impressive stuff.

Fuck right off. It's not about MUH GRAPHICS, it's about art direction of the game. Same shit that happened to all FROM games since DS2, Ubisoft titles (no one cares about those, but point stands), Oblivion/Skyrim, TW3, etc.
They make pretty demos that run at 5FPS, then downgrade them and end up with inconsistent visuals. But hey, more pre-orders from idiots who bought all the bullshit marketing teams were feeding them. I'd rather have less impressive, but more consistent art direction than game having bold spots of downgrading all over them.

This is the point I'm making. They use same GPU heavy physics based particles in smaller numbers to save some frames. They could've gone with simple particles without physics to create a much richer picture will much less impact on hardware.

It's a shame that abilities seem to be gone, but the overall movement is so much better than ED and being able to switch out weapons whenever necessary is great.
Someone in a thread yesterday mentioned they've probably gone for passive abilities instead, which makes sense. That or unlocking more tech for each weapon; the ED abilities were weapon exclusive anyway.

It takes a while. Gotta watch the white particles around the weapons just before they vanish to pull off proper unique combos.
With the greatsword after that white light and weapon starting to vanish, hold it for a charged attack, and let go as soon as the particles disappear. If you leave it too long your attack will be weak. There's a sweet spot to do maximum damage.

So this is it huh? /v/ filled with Casuals? While most of the demo IS filler tech demo shit, that final fight with the golem and the vastly improved combat system makes it all worth it.
Seriously, you niggas can do aerial combat, all sorts of blocks and dodges, each weapon has multiple special moves, and a surprising amount of depth for a stripped down demo.
Oh, and if you do use the right timing, YOU CAN perfect dodge cancel from MOST attack animations- there are some that you can't (mostly great sword), air attacks you must use an aerial rave dodge, which has more strict timing and doesn't require any presses of square at all. Not every attack can be dodged by holding down square. Some attacks you must have pressed square within a certain time frame of the enemies attack.
I uploaded some videos of me doing fun stuff in the fight, maybe it can inspire you fags to not be total casuals and to try and learn the game.
