Probably the aesthetic.
Rocko also had a game full of escort missions, but none of the show's appeal and humor really carried over to the game. The level layouts are good but it's not exceptional or anything.

Ico showed that they could make a good game and world and SoTC proved that he could make amazing gameplay so it's really the first half of TLG was supposed to be but it keeps getting delayed
