I had a really good friend of mine who usually started conversations but he later stopped starting conversations and in turn I tried to start them instead usually about the games they were playing but they usually ended abruptly as if he didn't care, playful humor about the game he was playing (ME3) was seen as serious opinions which confused me.
We've never spoken since.
Honestly I've had trouble beginning conversations with most people I'm not familiar with.
I think with an unfamiliar person I over analyze them thinking up situations why a conversation would be a bad topic or plain strange but for people I know like brothers I could bring up potatoes and we'd spend half an hour actually discussing the wide range of foods involving potatoes and what we think of them.
Worst part is having that problem with your father sitting in a car for half an hour trying to think up conversational topics that a stone faced father would accept or care about.

No. I wanted to leave behind my old group of friends to move on with my life after seeing how much rage and hatred I instantly associated with them, so I wrote a paragraph or two explaining why I was too dangerous and autistic to hang around them anymore since my anger was seriously about to give me a heart attack, and I couldn't stop thinking of my friends when those moments occurred. Now, they didn't cause this anger, but we all went to a forum where this kind of shit happened and the very prescence of people from it made me angry even if they weren't the ones causing problems.
