Fantastic Setting, Music, Characters, scenery, writing, humor, plot.
Gameplay however, is dated, and prevents me from replaying it again.

Why is she such a shit character? Literally the only good thing exclusive to her is haste, which becomes obsolete around the halfway mark. I guess she does heal early into the game, but Robo learns cure beam pretty quick.
it is an awesome game
Fantastic game, but far from greatest of all time in the gameplay department. Overall it deserves a lot of the praise that it gets, just not all of it.

I Remember playing it in 5th grade and some kidthe one that everyone hatedactually had an SNES and the actual game. Which was pretty awesome.
I remember beating it with Crono, Frog, and Ayla I think.
Nowadays I can't play any turn-based RPGs. I just don't have the patience.

All nostalgia aside, the game still holds up incredibly well. Visuals and sound are top notch for their time, but the gameplay is really what drives it home. Just the simple addition of having free movement and no random(to an extent) encounters puts it far above most other JRPGs of the era. Having enemies move around and act differently based on position is also a neat feature, though I think it'd be even better if you could position your own characters for similar effects. Either way, it's a good game.

Marle's sprite doesn't do her design justice. They didn't emphasize the belt enough. Her shading is too saturated. And they weren't able to show the taper of her ankles.
