I have friends and we talk about vidya plenty and hang out doing other stuff.
I dislike MP games a lot though.
I play vidya to relax by myself and go through a game at my own pace, not moving forward as fast as someone else is going and having to talk for hours on end.
I do plenty of that when I'm not playing vidya.
It's not true of all mp focused games but I feel like a lot of them are just a lazy cashgrab by devs.
Because any game can be fun with friends, they just make a barebones game with no SP content, and people think they're having fun with the game but they're actually just enjoying playing with friends.
If a game doesn't have anything to offer solo players it's an instant no sale for me, no matter how much critical acclaim it gets or how much people talk it up.
