How do you do Rashid's 8th trial? It's the one where you have to activate v trigger, ex eagle spike, jazz hands then ex spinning mixer. I can't see what's being done in the demonstration once Rashid lands and my jazz hands or whatever they are keep whiffing. Once I've done his trials then I've done em all.

After you hit the crush counter, you have to move just a tiny bit forward. Then you use heavy punch and v-trigger. This should put you close enough for the hits of axe kick to connect.

Spiral DDT was shit. You can mixup his lp head smash after cr.lk->cr.lp and it's very fucking hard to react to. His cr.MK is almost as good Nash's.
so Sledgehammer combos after his fucking full-screen forward but only on counterhit. So popping VTrigger and then Overhaul when the opponent runs away can turn an errant poke into 30% or more. And you don't lose your Heavy Hits for whiffing.

I've done it with Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, and Cammy so far
Ryu and Ken generally follow the same gameplan, Shoryuken because the AI barely punishes it and to get pressure off of you, and then on knockdown, spam deep jump ins and crossups into combos.
Managed Chun-Li with her v-skill spam, AI doesn't react well to it, and it's way better than her normal jump because it's too floaty. Cammy is the same as Ryu and Ken except she has a bad crossup, so you have to be careful with your jump ins.
Nash I'm working on, but jumping in behind heavy Sonic Booms is what has been carrying me so far

I hit 655k with all stories (including Alex), all trials (including Alex), all easy mode survival (including Alex), all normal mode survival (including Alex), Hard Survival cleared four times, hell cleared once, all demonstrations watched (including Alex), and somewhere between 350-450 ranked/casual wins online.
Take away the hard and hell survival clears, I'd probably put it somewhere over 500k. I was at 533k before the Monday update.

Alex is a ton of fun. Finally have a reason to play the game since I've learned every character and didn't particularly mesh with any of them. Usually main Guile, found solace in Bison, but wins came much easier playing as Ryu or Laura. I told myself if I didn't like Alex I'm returning SFV until the first wave of DLC is over but Capcom actually came through, the absolute madmen.
Also, Alex's story costume (color 05) is one of the best. Love feeling cozy while I fight.
Has anybody else been experiencing longer load-times since the update? That includes looking for a match. Used to find matches within seconds and last night I just sat there for like 5 minutes and gave up and went to lobbies, which I ALSO randomly get disconnected from (though that happened before the update).

I guess, if that's what you're going for. Try and do something that links together, search on Youtube for some easy combos for your character and try doing them until you get your timing right. Head into the trial mode too, there should be some useful stuff there.
You could also just set it to CPU difficulty and play around with it, just depends on what you want to train

Why do they seek to lock characters colors behind a level/survival system? It also limits people having their own color for tournaments. Atleast im sure most people will have alts unlocked on the setups at tournaments later on but not all colors that is for sure.
I know its alittle autistic but everyone has their own specific color and it seems really stupid Capcom in all their jewy ways misses a very simple one.

You will get hit out of dash recovery before hitting them with st.LP (not even speaking about st.HK)
In Bison mirrors I react to purple flash from the dash, stick out cr.MK xx scissors and it works every time.

Like the other anon said s.mp, s.lp xx lp Chop is a good confirm combo from point blank. Lariat (toward hp) is very plus on block, links into all of his lights on hit, and crush counters for bigger damage on counter hit. If you're new and your execution isn't good yet, end your combos with EX Flash Chop; it hits hard, does a lot of stun and you won't be punished if it gets blocked.
