Premium Resort actually seems to have sold pretty well, mostly because of the pre-order hype.
It wasn't until everyone got their copy that the backlash happened because the game played like shit and ran like shit. Illusion even went and apologized and actually improved the performance a bit and supported the game for a bit, which is good because they needed a good wrecking to lower their high horses a bit.

Install the Hongfire patch (and the official one) and play the game on Performance if you want to do the actual "open world" gameplay.
If you're going in for the Free H mode, stick it on best graphics.
