The guns kind of already are toys. Overwatch is the least violent shooter possible next to that SquidKid game. The guns shoot little lasers that don't leave bullet holes, there's no blood. Limbs and heads stay in tact through samurai sword attacks.

Well yeah. But theres a difference. Thomas the Tank Engine is a show clearly meant for kids. Overwatch is a violent video game intended for a maturer audience - certainly one more mature than Thomas the Tank Engine. I have some very big doubts that Blizzard set out to make Overwatch a videogame to teach kids about life.
