Earcups snapped right off after 2 months of use. Replaced it with a pair of K550's and haven't looked back since. Excellent build quality, great and accurate stereo sound and very spacious.

Games aren't really a hobby(maybe if you play competitive, that could be argued but it's still cringy), it's a passtime. The same way you say that you like watching movies, not that watching movies is your hobby because that makes you seem like a lazy slob. If playing games is your hobby then rethink your life, buy a fucking chisel and become an amateur sculptor, now that is a cool ass fucking hobby.
No I was ostracized as a nerd and my hobby was shameful in the extreme. I'd like to say that gaming has become a lot more acceptable but it only really became so for normal people, us freaks are still freaks no matter the hobby.

As opposed to what? I exercise, but it's not such a huge part of my life nor interesting enough that I'd instantly use it as something to identify myself with to others. Some people do watch movies as a fully-fledged hobby though (just the same as video games, wow!), and I don't know why that wouldn't be respectable. Do you have an obsession with work? Do you feel guilt over being unproductive or "lazy"?
Now, of course it's going to seem a little limited if you only ever do one thing in your life, but that's not what I'm arguing against here.
