I'd say it's a 6/10 3rd person dungeon crawler(im probably being generous). The combat is very simple, dungeons are easy, and despite being a sequel they actually removed more than they added. The music and story are pretty good but not really enough to make you want to play through it. I guess it's worth a shot.

I am playing it and enjoying it. At the second Imperial Dragon, though after a few scour-overs of the Railcage I can't find the last dragon there that isn't the Imperial. Though maybe I'm just not able to fight that one yet.
Also can't seem to find the enemy in the sewers for one quest but I figure the train-like Dragon's in the way.

I only played 2020-ii so I'm not sure about the first game but game was definitely grindy for me.
You need to be 5 levels higher or so to even stand a chance against dragons.

Play 2020 because it's closer to that one than the first game. All that really matters from the first one is that dragons are dicks and flowers are the most dangerous thing in the game, and that Nyala is the final boss in like every game.

I'm bored with it.
It's not difficult. It's easy. The party consists of 3 members so there isn't much variety in what you can do. Once you've found a pattern that works it's gonna work all the way to the end of the game.
The dungeons are pretty braindead too and are done in the disgusting top down modern personage style, but at least they aren't randomly generated. It's not grindy but the encounter rate is high. It's a 5/10 game at best, good as a time waster.
