Because zybez isn't very well run, it became infested with merchant botting and price manipulation as well as people spamming fake posts. The thing about Zybez and its forums, is that you can post an offer saying you are buying an object (an Amradyl Godsword, for example), for 64 million and not actually have 64 million coins to follow up on your offer. Zybez takes into account your offer, and re-calculates the Armadyl Godsword's price accordingly, thus reducing the price without any actual trade taking place. There's no way this is better than the GE.

If the Grand Exchange was more like WoW's Auction House where you could actually see all the individual listings with seller names and take your pick of which item you want to buy, if sellers could actually undercut each other to sell things quicker and things like that, I'd probably be all for it. But it's not like that, it's a horribly implemented system that eliminates any form of player interaction at all. You can't even see who's selling the items, for fucks sake. Divination is a skill that emerged in the wake of Guthix's death. His godly energy seeps out of the ground, you can gather his memories into solidified form and return them to the earth for experience. You also get energy when gathering the memories, and can convert the memories into energy for a loss on xp, but plenty of materials to work with.
95 divination is the highest tier of energy available.
Divine energy can be used to make portable skilling spots which have a daily limit of use, but can reward you with a quick xp boost and some nice materials, and the more people other than yourself that use it, the more free noted shit you get from them. Divine energy can also be used to convert food into portents which automatically heal you if you drop under half health, it can be used to create various signs which go into your pocket slot as well, my favourites being the "Sign(s) of the Porter", consumable items which will transport gathered items from hunting, mining, woodcutting and fishing straight to your bank.
Invention is a new "elite skill" which requires lv80 in Crafting, Smithing, and Divination to unlock. Using it, you can "augment" level 70+ items, converting them to an energy charge drain system. In your toolbelt is an energy charge pool, filled with divine energy, that these items can draw on. Previously degradable items will no longer degrade, but will drain charge instead. This means you can gather energy directly to "repair" your shit. Furthermore, augmented items can have "gizmos" added to them, which may have various perks that can result in increased damage, accuracy, modified abilities, and more under certain circumstances.
Invention revolves around taking items apart (as an item sink) to convert their parts into components, which are combined in certain quantities for the desired result in perks for your augmented items. There is currently a tech tree for Invention, but the devices you can make aren't all released yet.

To anyone who bailed on RuneScape because of the Evolution of Combat, well. It wasn't as bad as it seemed, but it definitely needed a lot of polish.
And a lot of polish it has acquired, but admittedly it's still nowhere near what it could be.
The SINGLE BEST FEATURE that RuneScape has implemented in recent memory to Evolution of Combat was "Revolution", a sort of happy medium between the full manual combat controls, of early EoC, and the more passive click and wait combat of old. Basically, the first nine slots of your hotbar will automatically fire off, in order of left to right, cooldowns willing. Threshold and Ultimate abilities will need to be triggered automatically, but basic combat is shit tonne better in my opinion than either the click and wait of old and the number rolling of early EoC.

You can touch the Stone of Jas. At first you use the energy to kill a bunch of wights harrassing your Zamorakian heist team, but when Sliske and Zamorak come to odds, you have the choice of blasting Zamorak and letting Sliske get away, blasting Sliske and Sliske getting away, or remaining neutral and Zamorak blasting Sliske and Sliske getting away.
That said... the memory you receive from touching the Stone really paints a different picture of Zamorak. I think, like Zaros, he gets a worse rep than he really ought to because of the methods of his underlings. Zamorak actively tried to bargain with Armadyl and Bandos so he wouldn't have to use the Stone of Jas to scar Forinthry, forming the Wilderness and annihilating the remnants of the Zarosian Empire, but Saradomin's propaganda really paints Zamorak as being evil, when he is more an incarnation of revolution and chaos, where chaos equals rising ever stronger from your ordeals and thriving in freedom of choice, unbound by anything, although this includes most morals when push comes to shove.
What really sold him as being a cool dude to me is the way he sees "using chaos as a force for evil" as a failing.

I don't believe that to be the case. I've actually been thinking about 2h versus dual wielding versus using shields or defenders of late. I've been wondering about what order my abilities should be in, and whether it would be a good or bad idea to include AoE abilities in certain areas. Certain abilities have suddenly acquired actual, potential usefulness in certain situations, such as against the Twin Furies in GWD2, where they have a period where they channel energy for a bomb but take extra damage during that time, so Berserk, an ability nobody should ever use ever because you take 50% more damage even if you do double damage, suddenly becomes useful.
EoC has slowly been getting better. It's still not amazing, but it's not bad anymore. It's solidly okay now, and actually does feel more enjoyable than pre-EoC combat, in no small part due to Revolution.

Zerker pures are the best for all around combat. Zerkers cuck pures and shitter mains. Pures cuck shitter mains harder. Pures are only good otherwise for fighting other pures or to style on people if you're good enough.
Plus, you can level rc, pvm, etc etc where as you have a bunch of limitations on a pure that can be game breaking.

Players at this stage of the game should be able to smith dragon stuff. It should still be incredibly difficult, but possible.
Same with crafting, mining, etc.
It would help with the lore too.
Some of the older skills have really gone stale with little to no reward to them besides just plain farming. And refinement skills like cooking, firemaking, fletching, smithing, crafting, etc. They're almost useless now apart from completing quests. Never a fast way to earn money unfortunately.
