I got this and Last Light after reading the book they are based on. Pretty good so far. What do you guys think of Metro 2033?

Great illumination work, excelent fps and a explendid survivor experience on high dificults
Most atmospheric games I've ever played.
Easily one of my favourite series.
Excellent shooters with a godlike comfy setting.
Last Light goes to shit on the last third, though.
I'm playing the first on hard. I'm stuck on the bit with the Red soldiers after you meet the Blacksmith.

how's the book thou? I've been thinking about getting it
I know they raised some livestock in the tunnels but what did they do for fruits and vegetables?

2033 is probably my favorite game. Last Light didn't quite hit the same mark but it was still a solid 7/10 for me. I hope 4A announces something this year.

You can sneak through that whole level without killing anyone. When you drop off the train wait for the Reds to disembark and go down the stairway. Follow them to find an officer executing someone and listen to him for a hint.

It's a fun read. Expect a lot of walking and talking and not much action. Artyom only fires his gun once or twice. Haven't read 2034.

>You can sneak through that whole level without killing anyone.
I'm pretty sure that applies to every level.

How did you read the book? It was so shitty. 2033 is good, but Last Light is probably better. I played the Redux versions.

If you're playing the Redux, that's true. Good luck sneaking through your first encounter with bandits without a single kill in the original 2033 though.

Mushrooms. Nothing but mushrooms. They literally drink mushroom tea.
