Being player-controlled, they were taken down on-screen. No blood or gore, but you can't really expect them to go into that kind of detail within gameplay. The Hebijo girls killing their own maddened allies was still taken pretty seriously.
Orochi's design does feature a bunch of blood-stained blades. Much of its physical form is made up of crumbled architecture from Hebijo's headquarters, though you can see what look to be some deceased spirits in there. I think it was made more of the regrets of the deceased than their physical flesh and blood.
