I play flight sims and having the numpad is great.
I also do a lot of screenshotting and having reshade/Sweetfx/cheat engine binds on the numpad is a godsend.
Using nupad hotkeys for cheat engine tables for stuff like freecam is perfect as well.
I also use numpad as certain macros when playing games like Dota for control groups and other stuff.

I used to have a Das Keyboard, but I'm a retard and spilled shit on it and I'm impatient, so I originally bought a Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2014 from Best Buy about 3 months ago.
It looked alright with the backlighting turned off, and I didn't have any real problems with it until like 3 days ago, when the d key would start double or triple triggering off a single quick press. Turns out it's a common issue thanks to Razer cheaping out with some shitty Razer-brand gaming switches instead of mx cherry's.
Thankfully it was super easy to return the keyboard to Best Buy, and I got a Corsair Strafe instead.I'll likely get another Das Keyboard in the future, way nicer than this Corsair

There are 99 easy binds, not counting keys for movement, all near WASD.
The point of a keyboard is comfort. I don't even use a mechanical keyboard for gaming, because in reality it doesn't matter. If I could get blue or brown switches, that'd be great, but again, it doesn't matter.

I just use a simple keyboard with a backlight. I like playing in the dark, it's comfy.
