Any torrents yet for the games in Oculus home?
Dont wanna pay $15 for 3 pinball tables or $50 for project cars after i already bought it on steam.

>he bought an oculus
haha
oh WOW
>>332484765
There is literally nothing wrong with enthusiast level products.
>>332484903
there is when it's the inferior option
the VIVE has a better FOV and is better technically in every way
>>332484991
Spoken like someone who has never tried the Vive. Both has pros and cons.
>>332485132
the oculus community is literally on suicide watch right now because the product is so bad
it's literally a downgrade from the DK2
> has money to buy an occulus
> still torrents
you're a funny guy. I like you.
>>332485226
>console war mentality
Fucking kids I swear.
I've used both the CV1 and the Vive.
They're damn near exactly the same besides the motion controllers, which Rift is getting later.
Fuck off with your childish shit. VR is cool as fuck and doesn't need this kind of shit.
>>332485226
>it's literally a downgrade from the DK2
Stop acting literally retarded.
>>332485439
If anything, it's oculus perpetuating the console ware mentality with their exclusive bullshit.
Also, there's already devs comparing the specs of CV1 and the Vive, It's not looking good for Oculus.

What is your opinion on VR? What is your plan? what are you doing?

>>332485797
ill get VR in like 5 years if it turns out it's not a gimmick and there's actual games
does the oculus even have any games out?
>>332485797
>no currently saving option
fuck you
>>332483984
>$50 for project cars after i already bought it on steam.
damn....you got facejew'd
>>332484765
I got it for free for being a kickstarter. No one that paid for it has gotten it yet except for the alaskan guy that was no. 1
>>332485439
you best start believing in console wars...you're in one (with stupid exclusive games and 1-upping gimmicks)
>>332485889
Aside from people who have tried it and not giving a fuck about it, it still doesn't address why it is a downgrade from DK2. It also has a larger sweet spot.
>>332485908
>amazing but too expensive
>>332485797
I bought a phone based headset for use with trinus, just to hold me over until one of the expensive ones is actually worth the money

The FoV may be lower but there is a trade off.
With a smaller FoV encompassing the same resolution you get higher pixel density.
Though it is better to have a larger FoV.
1080x1200 per eye seems fairly low stretched across 100+ FoV. So regardless of whether you go oculus or vive they both still suck dpi wise.
I got the Vive primarily because it offers a superior tracking solution which is half the game in and off itself. It offers a more complete package out of the box and that front facing camera would be such a great convenience factor.
I would've gotten an oculus rift if it were significantly cheaper but that is not the case, it is priced at a similar price bracket taking into account oculus touch and I'd have to pay ridiculous shipping expense TWICE.
The cameras are such a massive hassle to setup in the corners of my room for roomscale, it has no front facing camera for obstacle avoidance though a more basic chaperon can still work on it, and it occupies so many god damn USB ports it is not funny. If I want to use my own more expensive headphone it offers no 3.5mm jack on the HMD to make life easier.
My main gripe with Vive besides resolution however is that the controllers are still too fucking big and so many people keep dropping objects they pick up in videos because the gripping buttons are awkward compared to oculus touch which looks more natural.
The low battery life on both motion controllers is disappointing as well, I was expecting at least 10 hours or so. You'd be lucky to pull off 5 in continuous play.
Vive needs a docking system similar to the STEM motion controllers, it is going to be a pain constantly hooking them up to micro USB to recharge.
That girl is fucking beautiful

There's probably a good reason why valve chose their controller design and I think It'll reveal itself when both motion controllers have launched. The touch design isn't new to valve, they experimented with and eventually discarded the design, which they called the cutlass internally. Oculus is obviously imitating apple, and I wouldn't be surprised if they prioritized form over functionality.
