Is this worth playing still?
links awakening is better
>>332459085
How so?
>>332458986
As an extry point into 2D zeldas, very yes.
>>332459164
Can I emulate it easily?
>>332459164
*entry point
It's a comfy game. You should also play OoA as well
>>332459247
Very. Runs and controls well even off a tablet+controller set up.I speak from experience
>>332459525
The only true way to play the Oracles is to play both.
>>332459525
Why Ages over the over handhelds?
And whats wrong with Seasons?
It's pretty much THE archetypal Zelda game, so yes.
>>332458986
It's easily among the best of the series, if not THE best.
It's one of the few games where I would love to forget everything about it just to play it again fresh.
>>332459708
Din is too sexualized. Not appropriate for 2015.
>>332459616
>>332459708
Ages first, to make sure that OP likes it. Seasons is fine, its just not as good.
>>332458986
most zelda games are
>>332458986
Best 2d Zelda
>>332458986
It's always worth playing. One of the best 2D Zeldas; easy to get into.
>>332458986
way better than OoT
>>332459802
>One is better than the other
>>Why?
>Because it's not as good
Your genius reasoning is flawless.
Is there a ROMhack that equips a second item to the map key yet?
>>332459961
My only real reason is liking the puzzles in OoA better, which is completely subjective I admit.
>>332459708
>>332459802
I prefer Ages to Seasons but you should still play Seasons first, if you play Ages first there's a map tile you'll never be able to enter.
I felt that the "it's all a dream" ending for Link's Awakening cheapened the game for me, even though story isn't really at the forefront of what makes a Zelda game enjoyable. Am I just retarded?
>>332460379
I guess you have to be a little more invested in the characters in the game.
Which is pretty hard for a gameboy game to do.
>>332460379
I felt like it was a little better than that. I mean, Marin grappling with ending her own independent existence was pretty cool.

Got myself one of these today. What are must must play games for ds /v/?
>>332460379
If anything, LA is the only time the "it was all the dream!" cliche actually worked.
>>332460781
Stupid fucking mobile I wanted to make a thread FUCK whatever I'll leave this here and make another one
>>332460781
The FFIV port
It's the best Zelda, so yes. 3D Zeldas a shit.
>>332460781
I got the Supercard DSTWO, whats cool is I can play every single Zelda on my 3DS now except WW/TP/SS and I think FSA.
>>332460910
You got your answer right away. Just let us talk about Zelda without TP and OoT/MM shitposting.
>>332460781
Phoneix Wright games, Rhythm Heaven, Castlevanias.
>>332460781
Both Trauma Centers
All the Ace Attorneys you can find
Its been years since I turned on my DS so I cant remember shit
>>332460379
Normally I would agree, but with different characters contemplating the end of their existence and being aware that they're dreams, it worked pretty damn well. Reminds me of a time I was partially lucid in a dream and I told someone that they were just a dream. Fucker just seized up and dropped dead on the spot, was weird as shit
>>332458986
Two years ago in college, my friend played it for the first time in my dorm room, and I had to lend him my SNES because he liked it enough to want to play through the whole game.
>>332461997
nice blog
>>332462041
nice shitpost
I liked the GBA version better, sue me
>>332460781
Radiant Historia
Hotel Dusk
Infinite Space
SMT Strange Journey
Maybe Touch Detective
The only Zelda games Pre-WW that are dated are the first two and arguably OoT. ALttP is still worth playing
>>332462236
What did the GBA version do 'better' other than add that annoying child link voice?
>>332460379
>I felt that the "it's all a dream" ending for Link's Awakening cheapened the game for me
>Am I just retarded?
Considering you find out that Koholint Island is a dream much earlier in the game than the ending, yeah.
>>332462375
Allowed you to use the shovel vertically.
I think that's the only thing it has over the SNES version.
>>332458986
You should play the original LoZ.
>>332463589
Don't you use the shovel a grand total of two times to find the ocarina and play a minigame?
>>332460781
Nobody said Ghost Trick and TWEWY? Are you fucking idiots serious?
>>332463750
Yeah, but I think it made all the difference since I could never get 20 hearts in the SNES version of LttP due to that shovel minigame, yet can in the GBA version.
>>332463663
Already have on the nes
>>332463875
>I could never get 20 hearts in the SNES version of LttP due to that shovel minigame
are you retarded?
>>332463983
I dunno. I mastered every other part of the game except that. Could easily 99% the game without dying entirely from memory, but I've never been able to get the heart piece from the Dark World shovel minigame except in the GBA version.
>>332464119
you just need to keep trying until you get it, there's nothing to master famicom you just need to be patient
>>332464347
I tried a bunch of times, but never got it. I still beat Ganon plenty of times without it though.
Haven't played LttP or Link's Awakening in years since I didn't see a need to keep playing them after pretty much knowing them inside and out.
