The game's main story is 50 hours long according to more recent interviews, probably not got too much to worry about there. We'll see a few flashy setpieces, one of which will likely be the Leviathan scene so they can prove it's still in the game.
It's looking like we've got a lot of scene-setting stuff to expect until the game itself launches anyway (or at least until E3); the demo looks like it focuses on Noctis' youth, and if the rumour turns out to be true, there's a prequel movie focusing on Regis due in a few months.

There was a list of shit going around a few days ago that included a phone app tied in with minigames, an Epic Meal Time video based on Ignis' cooking, the new demo being released immediately following the show, and a prequel CG movie due in June.
It had no source so it wasn't paid much mind, but just today Square posted that the EMT guys are actually involved in the show, so there's at least a minor bit of credence.

Past FF demos have always been completely different from the final game with your attacks way overpowered. I remember in the FFVIII demo Leviathan was super powerful instakill everything but when you got him in the actual game he was about 1/20th as strong, and you couldn't get him until waaaaaaaay later in the game than where you have him in the demo.

My dad used to work for United Artist, and he'd bring home a lot of those movie displays/standees, many of them unopened and never even put up. He said they all go into the trash after the movies come out. Probably the coolest one he ever gave me was the one for Tron Legacy with an actual bike built onto it that lights up that people could sit on for their friends to take pictures. I sold a whole bunch of them on eBay a couple years ago and used the proceeds as a down payment on my first home, but I still have some of them. The Tron Legacy one is currently in the den of said home.
It just makes me think about what happens to all that stuff you see at E3 every year showing off upcoming games. It just seems like so much waste. So much awesome stuff, stuff that fans of these properties would kill to own, that just ends up in the garbage.

The beauty of the previous logos WAS their simplicity -- you can't be subtle or symbolic if you directly reference a specific event. All the previous logos were stylized conceptualizations of objects or ideas that, in addition to being visually notable, held great meaning in their respective games.
Not to be pretentious, but I think of the logos as a sort of dialogue -- you see one and there's some recognition -- oh, it's some kind of mech with a girl with her sword drawn piloting it, I wonder what her deal is? Oh, it's like some kind of comet or meteor or something, what's that? Whoa it's some giant screaming dude in plate armor, what the hell's his deal? The image gets your attention, you play the game, you come to understand the image and the meaning behind it.
XIII was completely lacking in BOTH regards -- it is neither immediately comprehensible("Uhh...some kind of...weird...ball-shaped orgy?") nor does it hold strong symbolic meaning even when it finally appears in the game. Even if you accept the lame attempt at a narrative arc in XIII, it makes no sense to fixate on Cocoon or the crystal pillar itself. Going by the game's own "fight your destiny" theme, shouldn't the logo be more human in its approach? Shouldn't the figures of Vanille and Fang be more prominent? But no, they throw that away in favor of literally rendering the crystal pillar, right down to all the little whiskerlike projections which were clearly just visual embellishments and make no sense as part of the actual pillar in the game.

III was released at a time when expectations for Square and games in general were much lower. The fact that the logos for XIII and III are even mentioned in the same discussion regarding logo quality is already a red flag. IX could have and does, to an extent, have meaning, but a lot of the higher philosophical stuff in that game wasn't quite rendered out well enough or is ignored by the mainstream. IX's logo, to me, had two meanings: one was the obvious "return to form" after the extravagant sci-fi plots of VII and VIII, but more importantly the crystal in the IX universe is the ultimate symbol of existentialism/the will to survive, which of course is the central theme of that game -- Vivi and the black mages; Queen Brahne's lust for power; Kuja's callous manipulations, which as it turns out were merely scared insecure attempts to justify and continue his own existence; Terra's somewhat parallel mode of assimilating other planets to survive, etc. etc. All of the factions must choose between sacrificing everything for survival or stopping to wonder whether all of the blood and struggle is worth it. And at the center of it all, the crystal has to look at everything it created and wonderif videogames were a mistake
Of course, a lot of that is barely in the game or is handled poorly(hence why a lot of people justifiably think Necron is a total asspull), but the point is that the intent was there, and the overall trajectory was plotted, if not carried out. With XIII it feels much more like they never knew where they were going in the first place and instead focused on covering it up with pretty hallways and explosions.
