You should play the original campaign and the Winter Assault campaign, at least, and then go do either DC or SS.
Campaigns for the game and its expansions are great (Retribution is a bit worse in terms of campaign, but still good). Multiplayer is fun and was revived recently due to the release of a free DLC.
I'd check it out if you haven't already.
