everytime i put mine into rest mode, when i come back the next day it's turned completly off and says "there was a problem turning off your ps4 blah blah blah"

Mine is having issues exiting applications, turning off, and even reading discs and exiting discs and its getting under my skin because I just wana play video games

well i literally lined up and bought one day one at midnight, so i feel like maybe its just fucking dying.
it legitimately turns off every time i put it to sleep. every. single time. so i just fully shut it down now.
i hardly ever play it anyway, due to my noice PC, but its still fucking annoying.
for those having issues, try to rebuild database -- solve a lot of random shit (if it's not the hardware itself going bad anyway)
helped with ps3/vita as well, still does with PS4 -- there's no data loss except minor things like having to see discover notifications again and games no longer being sorted in the order you last booted them

I've had 3, THREE, controllers stop working in the span of 1 year. The DS4 gotta be the worst designed controller of all time, holy shit. Last one just stopped recharging - one day I turned on my console, saw my controller battery was low so I plugged it in...nothing. Search up another issue about DS4 and sure, stop recharging is a common thing. The console itself has worked fine, no problem.
I haven't had any problems with mine. Except for it sounding like a fucking jet engine.

Funny because I've had 2 DS4s since launch and never encountered this problem.
I had the stick coating defect, but that was easily fixed.
the first one i got had an issue with the disc drive and would just eject the disc and keep ejecting so i tried everything they said to fix it and it didn't work. i was still under warranty so i sent it back, my replacement one starts getting the same issue a year later and now i'm out of warranty so i don't know what i'm going to do. i'm not going to pay $150 for this issue to pop up again

Sfv and other games too get stuck in a loading screen so i cose application then im stuck in the games selecetion menu and cant move or go back to game so i turn it off then it takes like 17 hours anf i unplug it to get something going

Keep getting cracks and rips in the thumb stick covers here. I'm not rough with controllers, either. My 12-year-old Logitech DS2 still looks immaculate and I use it daily for ps2 and ps1.

Had one since launch, have had zero issues. The rubber on one of my controllers did rip after 2 years. But besides that, haven't had a single problem.

just google it, it's an option part of the safe mode when you boot the console/handheld
note that on vita it also mess with images/video sorting if you were using it, like remove manually edited data
but rebuilding database also removes corrupted data, and anything that may be off causing issues

Once I turned on the system and it told me there was an error the last time it shut down. Didn't lose any data or anything, just took an extra 30 seconds to play mynogame

I bought my PS4 around the time LBP3 was coming out because I'm a fan of the series and I get a lot of mileage out of each title, so I wasn't stuck with a first wave PS4. Mine works great but gets pretty audible during graphic-intensive games like Bloodborne and GTA. Other than that it's been good to me, disc installs are quick, it downloads and installs updates in rest mode, the interface is snappy albiet unorganized. Peaches and cream.
