What does /v/ think of Outer Rim? I liked it, but it seems sort of underwhelming to me. Hopefully the future packs will offer more.
Best maps in the game yet, just needs a few tweaks for balance and the shitload of bug fixes. I hate 40 player modes though, so Im kind of biased

Well I don't think the whole game is underwhelming. Since SWB's launch in November with 12 multiplayer maps, we have gotten a map for Jakku, and the Twilight on Hoth and Survivors of Endor maps, Which currently puts us at 15 non-season pass maps. Outer Rim has 4 maps, so with that we have 19 maps on 5 planets, and 6 heroes if we add Greedo and Nien Numb, with 10 modes if we add Extraction. That's not too shabby, as the maps are very expansive and do look like Star Wars, but I'm not going to lie that I would like more planets.
Underwhelming at Launch? Yes, but it's getting better. I do agree, however, that many of these components should have been available at that time and the lack of a campaign does not help.

I actually thought Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 weren't too bad.
And amazingly enough, EA has had fun games in the past. But they're diamonds in the rough, and at this point, there's only an FPS arms race between EA and Activision, while EA craps out shit games on the side for other genres.
Really like the dlc maps. Jabbas palace is probably the best map in the game right now. Especially for heroes vs villains.
I do wish it had at least one 20 v 20 map though. The small ones always just feel like filler. Really pissed about the hero choices too. We better get some better characters soon.
I also hope that we see a bots mode patched in. I don't care if they call it instant action or not, I just really want some offline gameplay.

I haven't played CoD. The last latest CoD I played was Advanced Warfare.
I actually feel like CoD isn't really too bad. I mean, it's just a cookie-cutter template at this point for Activision to print money out of, yeah, but it's pretty fun to play when you don't give a shit and just want to play online with some bros.
That being said, I wish they would try to go for some other new innovations. But it's alright if you want to kill some time on a week night or have a match with some friends.
