I like typewriters. I like all old and obsolete things from mechanical calculators to over complicated cassette players and those things we're supposed to discus in this thread.
But I wouldn't lug around a typewriter unless I was taking it somewhere for some purpose, those things are supposed to be in your fucking home,

The only reason I'd use a typewriter is because the sound, feel, and limitations of it will influence the way I write. It really works. On the other end of the technology spectrum, I do a lot of my writing instant messaging and texting a particular person I know. It influences a different outcome that I have trouble getting using other means of writing. Same with pencil and it's different from pen.
But lugging one around in public screams hipster attention whore.
