You missed out, it actually has the best MP since 2: the core mechanics are great once you get over the fact that it introduces a lot of new movement options, unlike in 4 it's back to equal starts, weapons on maps. It actually has good weapon balance, even some automatics are viable in competitive play, and the map design is good, The only issue is that it didn't launch with a lot of content and we've just been getting drips of new stuff (for free to be fair) every month. Once it actually has all the stuff it should have had it launch I'd be tempted to say it's the best halo MP period.But it doesn't have local Mp at all which is bullshit.
Forge is the best it's ever been with atmospheric a and ToD, effects, full color changing on all objects, you can place sounds and a bunch of other shit: http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/Brannax/video/13336276 and http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/Brannax/video/13336314 are pretty good examples of the shit you can do now. As said above, once we have all the game-modes it should have had to begin with it'll likely have both the best MM and best customs period.
The campaign isn't fantastic though and the story goes fucking nowehre, but it doesn't completely butcher super important character's personalities like 4 did.

For season 1 or 2 or both? Combo breaker pack for each is $20. You get all characters, but not the bonus costumes and accessories. Ultra breaker pack for each season is $40. You get everything with the bonus costumes and such and KI 1 and classic classic for season 1 and 2 respectively and 18k KI gold for season 3. It's like the collector's edition.
Supreme edition is all 3 Ultra packs combined for $50 on PC and $60 on Xbone. PC is cheaper since you don't get KI 1 and 2 classic (just emulate them if you really want them).

Oh I totally agree 2 had shit weapon balance, but I was talking about in terms of core mechanics & map design. And 3's balance was just as bad just in different ways.
5 is basically mixing the core gameplay "feel" and philosophy of halo 2 with some titanfall movement mechanics + some of the best weapon balancing i've seen in an FPS.
Nearly every gun in the game is worth having on you and is at least viable at a good amount of ranges. The SMG and plasma riifle equivalent are almost power weapons with how quickly they tear through guys, and they don't become totally useless past 10 feet like they are in 2/3. The AR can be used at like BR ranges if you burst with it, and it has a slight headshot bonus on unshielded foes so it actually rewards accuracy. The pistol feels like a blend of the ODST pistol and the ce magnum, being very accurate, and viable on it's own.
I would go as far to say that the AR, pistol, and BR, across all ranges, are nearly perfectly balanced with each other, with the SMG, Storm rifle, DMR, and light rifles being a step above them.
My only real complaint about the balance is that the boltshot and suppersor (forerrunner pistol and automatiic gun) are both a tad too weak, and I feel the AR allows you to get away with slightly too much, you are better off just holding down the trigger rather then bursting in 80% of situations, whereas in the beta for 5 bursting had a much larger benefit to you since the head-shot multiplier was on shields too. If they upped the boltshot's and suppersor's tracking and mag count, & just decreased it's base damage, brought back the headshot bonus on shields, but made the multiplier scale with the level of spread (so at low spread the bonus is higher, but at high spread it's lower, so accidental headshots don't help you), the game's weapon balance would literally be perfeact

Only major bug so far is where the game runs faster than 60FPS because the game has no vsync at all (There's not even an option. Just no vsync period). You have to change the monitor settings to 60FPS while IG works on a workaround.

Just finished saberwolf story. It's pretty fun. I mashed buttons and combos came out. Stage ultras are a bit disappointing. Overall really fast and flashy. I miss dashing from GG though.

im new to the game as well. combos seem very easy to get good damage. heavy doubles look slow enough to break on reaction. that just leaves learning what peoplpe's mediums and lights look like, or just react to heavies and keep the light/medium a 50/50 guess.

not sure i understand your point. in tekken, you dont need to memorize animations. you can clearly see which arm the opponent is extending and press the corresponding button. you just need to do it in time, which isn't that hard.

Just tried to start both Xbone and PC at the sametime to see what would happen.
Bone told I was playing it on another device and booted me back to the home menu. I get screen tearing out the ass but I guess its because of the entire G-sync 144Hrz monitor and it running way over 60FPS, it kept doing it even when I set the monitor to 60 as well. Also missing all of the season 1 and 2 characters, not such a big issue because I just want to fanny around with Tusk anyway.

There is one costume set (3 pieces) that can only be gotten with KI gold. There is two costume sets that can be gotten by playing the character, those two sets are done three times in a different colors each.
Retro costumes have one set that can only be gotten with KI Gold, and two sets that come unlocked with it, but no extra colors of those two sets.
