Dont mind me, Best DRM in history is just passing through.
>>332392652
>just passing through.
Like all other DRM
Denuvo saves PC gaming.
>>332393204
Yes, Lords of the fallen, the new tomb raider and Just cause 3 are pretty succesful, GOTY material. Thanks denuvio and pc gamers :^)
>>332392652
Too bad it wrecks SSDs
>>332393396
> this meme again.
Because of that Denuvo I am considering xbox one or ps4 if I have to buy games before being able to try them I would rather buy one for console at least I can sell it later not like digital copy on pc. I used to be masterrace but Denuvo changed everything. Pirating was whole point of keeping pc. PC industry going to die because of that.
Make Vidya Great Again
>>332392652
don't mind me
ain't buying games with denuvo and kike devs/publishers anyway
>>332392652
REMINDER THAT IF A GAME USES DENUVO, ITS QUALITY IS QUESTIONABLE.
Otherwise, why would it need it?
>>332393303
This. Thought the new tomb raider was supposed to be GOTY material. After all those raving reviews. Bought it. Played a little over 2 hours and put it down because its such a piece of shit. And now i cant even refund it.
good, I don't want to play a game knowing pirate shitlords have played it
Denuvo makes games good.
Based Denuvo, finally gave the last blow to the autistic rotten carcass that was pc gaming
Denuvo indirectly endorses shady steam key sites. Wonder if they took that into account.
>>332392652
sure, I´ll just wait until you are gone.
>>332393204
PC gaming never needed saving and has been rising strongly years before denuvo came already.
>>332392652
This kills the PC gaming.
>hoped denuvo success would finally make us free of the steam bullshit
>it's just another layer of shit on top of an already big pile of shit
This is saddening.
>>332392652
It sure is. I haven't pirated a game in months because of it. Then again I haven't bought any, either.
>>332392652
>Best DRM in history
but that's Starforce
>>332400393
and Todd
>>332392652
Denuvo is not only pc gaming saviour it is a NEET exterminator. Most piratefags are useless neets that stay at their basement and play video games all day. Too bad they won't be able to do that anymore and have to actually go outside, work, contribute to the society and earn money to buy video games.
God bless Denuvo.
>>332393604
So because some bad console ports have shitty DRM you want ALL your games to have shitty hardware based DRM and look worse too?
Literally not DRM actually. It's just an anti-modding tool basically.
>>332392652
>Denuvo
So games that use the Denuvo DRM system are outselling their competitors, right?
>>332402118
Yes they are, Tomb Raider was a HUGE success on PC. It sold millions of copies.
Denuvo filters out poor faggots, and you can already see them whining on this thread
bless denuvo our pc saviour
why do you niggers even play shitty games to begin with?
This thread is fucking hilarious.
>>332392652
this could literally be on a GOG game just to stop people from modding it.
Steam and origin are DRM
>>332401918
Or just find another hobby
>>332402204
Sold less than FO4 which had no Denuvo.
>>332402204
>Tomb Raider was a HUGE success on PC
O, I am laffin.
Man it's fucking insane how this place has changed in just a few years.
pro-sjw's, pro-drm.
Some organization must've intervened here or some shit.
>>332402979
/v/ isn't pro DRM /v/ is just full of hipsters who only like games that not many other people like
and /v/ has always been full of SJW's
>>332402979
don't forget pro-censorship, pro-shittygimmicks, I don't even know what I'm doing here anymore.
>>332402757
Fuck off with your meme Bethshit game.
>>332402865
http://www.gamerevolution.com/news/rise-of-the-tomb-raider-and-xcom-2-are-selling-extremely-well-on-pc-36079
>>332402979
It's contrarianism
>>332403092
You really don't belong here if you're talking shit about VR
>>332402979
>Some organization must've intervened here or some shit.
It's either that or someone from IRC shitposting here.
>>332402979
/v/ is contrarian, and that's never changed.
It's not a bad thing either, you shouldn't be exposed only to the echo chamber opinions most of the internet has
>>332403232
I was talking about the NX fake controller and the nintoddlers defending it.I think VR will be a huge step for vidya
>>332392652
You fucking chinese shit ass tech destroyed my SSD, reduced it to 60% capacity
t-thanks.
>>332392652
It's anti-tampering software used in conjunction with DRM you double nigger.
>tfw on Linux
>tfw no Denuvo
>>332403478
Oh ok. Just the usual nintendrone faggotry. They'll eat up any turd by nintendo.
Why does every game that uses Denuvo run like shit?
It already fucked up my SSD, i didn't only waste my money on MGSV but i had to buy a new drive as well.
No thanks.
>>332403665
Including censorship. This boards quality would increase tenfold if there was another containment board just for Nintendo fans.
>>332403656
>tfw on Linux
>tfw no gaems
>>332404458
Yeah man, no gaems that don't fill up my backlog. it's fucking horrifying how much gets ported lately.
>>332393136
underrated post
>>332403128
it's sold like 1/8th of what the original game sold, and it's been outsold by plague inc, xcom 2, stardew valley, and the division. as far as big AAA releases go, it's only really doing better than hitman and far cry primal.
we don't have steamspy data for tomb raider's first month but i really don't think ROTR is doing that great.
>>332405486
>and far cry primal
Don't forget that uses Denuvo too.
>>332392652
Good games with Denuvo:
MGSV was good.
>>332403639
anti-tampering is just an marketing name for DRM anon
imagine the shitstorm if they announce Denuvo as DRM
>>332407020
That's wrong though. With just anti-tampering, you could pirate the game piss easy. All you'd need to do is install it, all you wouldn't be able to do is mod it or crack it (unnecessary). It needs another form of DRM to work, and Denuvo just makes it so that reverse engineering that DRM is fucking difficult.
>>332408096
so its DRM inside an DRM
>>332408294
No. It manages no rights really, everybody can access what it obfuscates, except if it's managed by some other DRM.
>>332408430
so another protection inside an DRM
still, DRM inside DRM.
>>332393604
Most Distributors have actual refund policies in place, at least the most popular ones do.
Generally speaking you have more than enough time to see if the game is worth buying before you are locked into it and can just have the money put back in your account.
I almost do not care about DRM.
If it does not fuck me over when I'm playing a legit copy (Like any number of other DRM systems I could care to name) then I could really care less.
It's probably going to affect modding and freedom in the long term and that's the only real complaint I have with it.
>>332408825
>so another protection inside an DRM
No, that's not at all what I said.
