I highly doubt the aztecs would have lived for long anyway, with all the rebellions going on and such, but that part of america could have done much more without spain stealing gold and slaves.
I gotta say i like the Incas much more than the Aztecs though. That empire was massive and ruled in a really smart way, much smarte than how the aztecs managed it.
Also Atahualpa was a cool ass guy, he was so cool and smart he made firends with the conquistadores that captured him becayse they respected him that much.

In order to keep up the flow of sacrifices, the Aztecs needed an excuse to get live victims. The travelling merchant class made great spies and they would stir up dissent in the subject capitals around Tenochtitlan to incite war, then the Aztecs would come in, crush the rebels, and take survivors as sacrifices.

For like $90 more you could have gotten a hanwei tinker. The tinker line of swords are some of the best swords in that price point. Ronin katana has a line of euro swords that are also very good for a similar price point

These tiers are nonsense.
So is debating which weapon is best in an objective, absolute sense.
It always depends on the period, what strategies, weapons and armour were deployed, and who you are fighting.
Mauls, Estoc and Flanged Mace are completely unnecessary when fighting badly armoured opponents, like warriors in the early Middle Ages.
You know why Poleaxes where so great in the Rennaissance period? Because people wore different odd end pieces of armour and weaponry you could hook on to. It gives you good crowd control. If you're got mostly unarmoured dudes a spear is just fine to kill them. Better range, better speed, better usage in formation.
Franciscas aren't bad weapons either, just to point it out. They're not there to make shields useless or harm people. Their purpose is to disrupt the enemy lines. Have you ever thrown a Francisca? Those fuckers bounce up and down all over the place once thrown. Imagine crashing into lines of opponents and throwing annoying bouncing axes into their lines, putting them off guard. Must have been a massacre.
Rapier's are also useless in the battlefield. They're highly specialised dueling weapons.
It all relies on context, people.

Renaissance armor is not medieval armor. Dismounting a heavy armored knight would ultimately lead to his capture or death. A slow, unwieldy weapon like a war hammer would only be useful against such an over armored opponent that had been dismounted.

Depends on the armor. The 45lb armor is normally attributed to heavy infantry but some horseback Knights are also believed to have worn armor around that weight. Falling from a horse with 45 lb armor would not mean a soldier that was fucked, but his chances of survival decreased dramatically. Heavier examples of horseback knight armor reached into the 75-90lb range. Even if the soldier could stand back up with armor that heavy, he would be a sitting duck even to peasants with farm tools.
As for the war hammer, have you ever tried swinging a 9lb steel sledge hammer around? Not exactly a fantasy weapon.

I used a sledge as an example because I've actually swung an example of a warhammer and the closest experience I can give is a sledge hammer. Same exact physics and similar weights depending on the sledge used. I would not carry one into a battle against even remotely swift opponents.

The real problem with a warhammer isn't it's weight it's the length. An opponent with a longer weapon in a duel will can outrange you and cut you down before you can even reach them. However, in a battle when you've already charged with your lance and you're facing other guys in armour a sword isn't going to serve you very well.

I've seen many middle eastern examples and and Eastern European examples of shorter blades and daggers using the design and the on a shorter blade it gives the user more edge and weight at the same length. All those armours are in the 35-50 range. Anything higher is impractical and anything lower you're taking plates off. You could reach this level too if you practiced. Hell, if you're not into armoured fighting you could practice with the many unarmoured clubs. Assuming you're in the US and not in the middle of nowhere there are HEMA clubs you could be practicing with. Common weapons and martial traditions are longsword, one handed sword (sometimes with buckler), dagger, spear and wrestling. Arts that are beginning their resurgence are military saber, rapier (not olympic sport fencing) and Polish saber which is beautiful to watch.
I have one of these, so I'm biased. It's made out of some heavy and hard wood, weighs about 2kg, and it feels like it could crack a skull with a decent swing.
They have to be pretty hard to take out a kangaroo.
