I thought SFV combos were supposed to be easy? These trials are taking forever. Why are none of them optimal, and none of them relevant? Why is there so much input "help" that it's nearly impossible for Ryu to cr.MP->srk->super, because the game thinks you want to go straight into super after the MP, or turns it into a hadouken? If the game DOES function this way, do you even lose any amount of damage using hadouken instead of srk? I'd think being able to land it 100% of the time would be better, yes?
These trials are esoteric. I thought we left that behind in SFIV

Dog, I'm shit at fighting games, but c'mon. Combos are easier than in SFIV, but that doesn't necessarily make them easy. You still gotta learn the timing and practice them, which all depends on the character.
I've seen Snake Eyez combo a CC'd standing HK into EX air piledriver numerous times, but actually learning the timing for it is something else entirely.

Look up top Ryus and look at previous matches they have against Sims. There's usually not much you can do, just be patient and get your combos in when you can. He has low health so it doesn't take that many hits to beat him. It just takes a while closing in each time.

Fighting games are ALL about guessing and making the correct choice.
Not to mention, Laura is not a fucking pure grappler, she's a rush grappler. She has the worst grapple range in the game that needs to be combined with her combos to lead into. In order for her to pull them off. Her ex grab is risky and should only ever be used for when you or your opponent are on wakeup.

On top of that, Laura hits like a truck. She takes away a 100 on hit. Her most basic combo leading into a super takes half the health. She has a really unforgiving input buffer so she's all about mixups and block strings. Its not the character's fault people are using her riskiest moves.
