Makoto would make it for sure, guaranteed money for her ultra loyal fanbase. I can see Blanka and Dan never making it in (Dan already chills at the in game store), but I think it would be weird without E.Honda. Dudley is also pretty popular, and personally I think Rose would be a really great addition to the cast for many reasons.

IV was already restricted enough in what worked in whatever situation and V took it to a whole new level with how restricted/spacing dependent combos are.

Situational like I wrote again. Its a good idea you have there but lemme repeat, the game is restrictive in how it works. You want an example?
>Nash combo into launcher special/vtrigger to either side on the air/press a normal in the air
>If launcher is heavy flash kick then nothing except air HK works for the followup vtrigger juggle
>If launcher is ex.facegrab everything works for the followup, even air grab
So taking the nature of the restrictions, trials were always used to show you the bare minimum of what works. Other games that have almost complete freedom in how hits/combos work usually need more stuff. What SF needs is to show is these:
>cancellable/non-cancellable moves(vtrigger or not)
>launchers
>ground jugglers
>air jugglers
>reset from juggle state normals
>Crush counter normals
>AAs
And trials are enough for these if you can use your head a little to analyze the combos shown. Something to be considered for another mode like "advanced character tutorial" might be a thing if Capcom gets off their lazy ass.

The trials in this game are a huge disapointment.
It took me quite a while to be able to do all the trials in sf4.
In SF5 anyone who played the game for a week can do all of them for every single character in probably under an hour.
My execution skill isnt even good and i breezed through them.
