Just watched the Kara PS3 demo from quite a while ago...I want to play games that make me feel. Any suggestions? It seems as if recently my tastes have been evolving from gameplay based to story driven

Sword & Sorcery EP is a great point & click adventure game.
Transistor's pretty good in that department, if you can forget the symbolic implications of its ending.
By the same studio, Bastion's also pretty great.
Cave story is an obvious recommandation there. Great 2D action platformer and quite sad.
Undertale just has so many feels.

I think the idea was that the tester's threshold for when he actually feels like the robots he tests everyday was surpassed - He started to feel bad enough for this very human-like thing that he actually stopped and changed his course of action.

Say what you will about Undertale, I enjoyed it and some of the feels caught be out of the blue when I rushed in expecting tumblr-tear shit
Cave story was a fun platformer, and you're right about the story.
I've played a bit of Sword & Sorcery, as cool as it was I didn't seem to encounter much emotional story telling, at least as far as I got...

No, Cave STORY does have a pretty interesting story. It's not the most complex, but it's still fairly nuanced and will give you feels if you care.
BTW, Cave Story+ has brand new graphics, music and translation, although you have the option to revert the first two. It's also got a few extras like boss rush and wind fortress.

S&S' story is pretty sad, but you have to get to the end of the game to get what's happening, though.
