The past five years have not been kind to CPU gains. An overclocked 2500k will get within 90% of the performance of a stock 6600k, which is saying something. Unless there is a drastic change in the way CPUs are being designed, even an old CPU generation like Sandy Bridge can hold its own against the latest Intel and AMD has to offer. All that really changes is the interface compatibility and feature set, but those usually can be added on with PCI/e expansion cards.
GPUs on the otherhand tend to have a much shorter lifespan because they run hotter and with greater frequency under load. This degrades the soldering over time and causes it to die unless the card is sufficiently thermally managed.
I have a 8350 that's still running fine after all these years, but the GTX 670 that it came with has kicked the bucket.
They'll release this new uber mega giga PS4 during holidays.

The PS4 is probably the last console im going to buy. I only bought 3 games for it and I just dont see anything else worth a shit on it currently. There are some exclusives on the horizon but they are already talking about a new console when the old one didnt even have any games. Same with the WiiU which i also bought.

It's key developers and designers that make what you want. These are usually individual people.

When a studio good enough is being lead by designer skilled enough in one way or another it really shows in the end product when the lead ends up passing their understanding to the other members in the process. It's how Uncharted, even though it wasn't as good as Naughty Dog's previous titles, didn't end up terrible despite the main creative leads having left the studio by its development.

For me it's the price difference and my lack of knowledge of PC building.
I need to buy the GTX950ti, monitor and i need a new processor because i don't think my i5 will be able to handle it. Plus there's a giant chance i'll fuck up in building it.
Ps4 has exclusives and let's me play games without investing a bunch of money into something that might not work.
I'm still leaning towards PC because Steam is excellent and cheap.

From what I've heard you don't need to buy the new consoles, if you have a PS4 already and you can't afford/don't want a graphics upgrade you can keep playing with people online even if they have an upgraded version of the PS4 plus you get the same games.

If you can get past things like first level in Super Mario Bros then you are handy enough to build a PC from the parts.
